  1. Can someone post the article or a different link? WSJ makes a user pay to read article – not worth it.

  2. I hope Wisconsin is crushed at the SCOTUS.

This is worse – though in the same vein – than the IRS. Use of SWAT Teams, Home invasion, inappropriate taking of property and searches.

This sounds like the Soviet Union, not the the United States.

  3. Clicked the link and only got the first paragraph, but I disagree with the premise, and with Rand’s title, already disappointed that this would need SCOTUS to determine right or wrong. To me, this is a gross violation of the law that Wisconsin Supreme Court should have been able to recognize, but then their Chief Justice seems not to accept laws too well.

In the WSJ, why is this a case study in Election Laws? Would the actions of these prosecutors and officials be acceptable if not involved in election year politics? I think we forget that the first, fourth, fifth, and fourteenth amendments apply at all times, not just for elections. I’ve seen recently many arguments that the First Amendment should be more limited, which is what these “John Doe” prosecutors want. This should be a case study in the Bill of Rights, as it was envisioned to protect citizens from an oppressive government.

  4. Another demonstration of how Progressivism and Socialism (synonyms) always lead to calls for violence, and, if those calls are unchecked, violence.

  5. Publishing the names, addresses, workplace and phone numbers of these public officials might be a first step. Name and Shame!
They know who we are and where we live, we should know the same about them.
