  1. I’ve been saying this happened for a while now, because there was no other possible explanation for data that HAD to be on an airgapped network getting into e-mail. Somebody had copy it over.

And that’s a set of felonies.

Those aids are up a creek even if they can prove they were ordered to do it. Plus, we have an e-mail where Hillary is ordering Sullivan to do exactly that.

Their only conventional way out would be cutting a deal (testimony). However, they do have another way out; Hillary promises to pardon them on her first day in office.

    1. For a sufficient price, there are people who’d risk jail time to protect Hillary. They can be promised a pardon from Obama and a lucrative crony sector job afterwards.

      1. I’d be far more likely to believe in the fiction of an Obama pardon than any promise I’d get from an elected Clinton. The only sure deal is the one you can make with the prosecutor. Just ask Webb Hubbell.

      2. Was the current occupier of the White House sufficiently involved in this mess or another Clinton mess to be blackmailed into delivering a pardon?

        1. If not, Obama *was* involved in the Benghazi screw up, and so the other leverage Clinton has to extract a pardon is inside knowledge on that tragic abdication of responsibility by both she and Obama.

        2. I suppose it depends on whether you believe this sort of thing was limited to Hillary Clinton and a few of her aides at the State Department. Based on how other government agencies were weaponized against Republicans, I find it reasonable to suspect this was much more widespread. Obama may pardon a bunch of people to buy their silence. He doesn’t have to wait until his last day in office, either.

          1. Prediction: Obama will not issue any pardons related to State Department email, Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious, Solyndra or even Jade Helm (am I forgetting anything?). Check back in a year.

  2. The scapegoats are revealed! I’m sure that Hillary will be very, very sad about Huma, but of course Hillary herself had no idea that that stuff was classified, and after all, she wasn’t the one who actually distributed the documents. So, sadly, a few not-so-little people will have to be sacrificed for the greater good…

  3. She WILL be elected President, and she WON’T be indicted, and she never did anything wrong that everybody in the State Department didn’t do too, and and and…

    1. You barely seem like a newly minted progressive anymore. More like an old hand experienced with occupying public spaces and applying for grants. How many cats have you rescued? 😉

  4. I suspect that someone isn’t going to be willing to take the fall for Her Highness.

Don’t bet on it. Fanatics for a cause are often happy martyrs.
And people like the Clintons are only too happy to let them become one.

    1. As usual, I have trouble following a lot of this. No one needs to “take the fall”. Either the FBI is going to do their job or they aren’t. If they aren’t, this will all vanish into the ether and the liberals will give it as another example of Faux News-driven witch hunts against the Clintons. They could do this very easily without any way for conservatives to stop them.
If they do their job, it is because they are not under the Clintons’ control, being an independent agency with a proud history, etc. If that is so, they can recommend whatever punishments they think are deserved, and it would seem that the Clintons can’t stop them.
As usual, what the DOJ does about that is not the point. A severe FBI recommendation would be enough to finish Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

  5. I’m starting to think the best thing would be for the Administration to avoid bringing Hillary to justice. I say that off a line Jonah Goldberg wrote about Hillary getting to the point that any Republican with a pulse could probably defeat her now. I think that may be underestimating the media, but I do think the DNC underestimates how loathsome Hillary is to most voters. The baby boomers may buy her crap, but the younger generations have a different view.

Even if Obama and his Administration do nothing, Hillary’s problems as Secretary of State, as well as her methods of defending her husband, will be a disaster for her in the general.
