  1. I’ve a good mind to sue climate supremacist Michael Mann for crimes against humanity. It would be tough for the legal bastards to argue that I have no standing since I am, after all, human.

  2. discovery in the trial court. That will be interesting.

I know I’ve been waiting to see this.

      1. I don’t doubt Rand’s painful description, and I have sympathy, but I was wondering about specifics of how the discovery phase works, to the extent it can be discussed. Do all parties have to make all their old emails and even private documents available to the other side?

Also, what would Mann be looking for? I understand why Rand’s side would want to look for evidence that Mann molested and torture the data, etc, but what would Mann be looking for? I can’t imagine what a smoking gun would look like, assuming Rand’s whole life isn’t some sort of performance art.

        1. I’m not really at liberty to discuss it, but I suspect that whatever Mann is looking for, he will be disappointed, because it probably doesn’t exist and never has existed.

  3. I’ve read a few articles about this decision and the Mann cheerleaders don’t ever dig down into the legal implications beyond this case. They tend to be shallow and celebratory without any thought about the precedent that could be set.

That pretty much sums up the leftist and “science” communities in the Obama era.

  4. From the Steyn column linked in an earlier post,

“She has played a particularly pernicious role in the climate change denial campaign, laundering standard denier talking points but appearing to grant them greater authority courtesy of the academic positions she has held and the meager but nonetheless legitimate scientific work that she has published in the past,” he said. “Much of what I have seen from her in recent years is boilerplate climate change denial drivel.”

How tf does Mann go around suing people when he says stuff like this about others? Mann should have been laughed out of court. Are his colleagues blind to the hypocrisy?

A few hundred doing what you say in small claims court in state college might be fun. “Punch back twice as hard” no?

    start at $2000/case
