Eighty-One Years

I remember when I was nineteen my (veteran) mother saying, “I can’t believe it’s been thirty years.”

  1. FYI this post and the next one display for me with a lot of visible HTML markup. No idea whether it is some quirk of my browser/OS.

  2. I remember when I was a young lad of 26 hearing two old guys (in their late thirties) say “can you believe Pearl Harbor was 35 years ago?” It’s hard to believe THAT moment was almost 50 years ago. It goes way too fast.
