The Pacific ocean is washing away California and has been for millions of years. Everything west of the mountains will end up in the ocean and the mountains too, in time.
Overall California’s infrastructure is and always has been inadequate. From water resources to fire mitigation to electricity to….you get the picture. The problems have been there as longer than people. We modified the place is order to exist there, but never made the investments that would make it sustainable. So we stumble along cobbling the infrastructure problem de jure to some degree, then move to the next quick fix. The “big one” will be our RESET.
