Indeed. It also has to dig into the Clinton “investigation,” and see how high the abuse of power and obstruction of justice went.

Actually, we need one or more grand juries to investigate and hand out indictments against those who were actively trying to conduct a coup. Investigations in Congress would just be more of the same – political grandstanding. A special prosecutor would possibly be a step in the right direction, but personally I’d like to make it purely a legal matter. Oh, and don’t convene the grand jury (or juries) within 500 miles of the DC Beltway.

Even after the events of last weekend, people can’t process that the media lied to them. They say things like, “It seems like there is lots of evidence we already know about collusion.” Or, “You mean like reporting the truth?” About Trump “asking” Russia to hack Hillary.
Our media is so horrible. They misrepresent events and continually repeat the lie until its accepted. It requires individual effort to not just fact check, but go to the original source. No one has time. Most people fall for it, even people whose job it is to be informed, like Jonah Goldberg.

Larry J is quite correct about what should be done anent DOJ, FBI and intelligence agency officials who plotted and attempted to execute this attempted coup. Brennan and Clapper, in particular, need to be charged with treason, tried, convicted and executed. Comey, Jarrett and a few others likely belong on the same list. The rest deserve long terms in federal stir. If you don’t put the fear of God into these swine, they will try this again.
For the elected officials involved, a Truth Commission would be more useful and less politically fraught. I’d recommend granting all of them – Bill, Hillary, Obama, Schiff, Pelosi, Shumer, et. al. – immunity in return for public testimony on polygraph. Then issue formal pardons. Same with a lot of the MSM bigwigs who were willing collaborators in this whole mess, including on-air types.
Then the same needs to be done, but not in public and with no grants of immunity, to the entire personnel roster of the FBI, DOJ and all the intelligence agencies. Anyone who proves deceptive on the question, “Have you ever used, or would you use, your position to knowingly advance a partisan political agenda?” should be immediately fired, blackballed from future government employment and have their pensions revoked. The Deep State is an impacted bowel of Democratic perfidy and needs an enema.
