  1. That is astoundingly hypocritical even by California standards. I wonder what Newsom got from PacifiCorp to push this deal? Reminds me of the Gray Davis shenanigans with Enron. Well, if someone can be bothered to show bad faith, corruption, or fraud in the 2016 renegotiation, then that can void or substantially reduce its liabilities to the taxpayer.

  2. Same thing happen in Ohio in the 60’s. A small stone dam built by the WPA was deemed unsafe and it was breached to drain the 5 acre pond behind it. Turns out the stream feeding the pond ran thru an industrial area where folks had been dumping stuff “out the back door” for decades. The accumulated sludge was toxic and it ended up sterilizing a major recreational lake down stream. It took a decade or so for things to settle back to normal.

  3. Degrowth and anti-agriculture commies tag team to destroy the environment while making a nice profit.

They want to do this on the Columbia and Snake rivers too.

The tribes are just a tool to be used to further the goal of making humans go extinct

  4. Anybody with a clue about limnology knew this was going to happen. Completely foreseeable. Especially someone who has conducted lakes sampling and has taken sediment sampled from the bottom, dove them, etc.

Metal-laden bottom-sediments formed in anoxic environments suddenly exposed to oxygen and weather, what could possibly go wrong?
