IMO, the way Biden is being thrown under the bus is because the Democrat party bosses are afraid who their voters will choose. They couldn’t trust them with a primary in 2024 any more than they could in 2020 or 2016.
What is certain, whether Biden stays in or another candidate is selected, it is because the King approves it.

No, apparently the Parkinson’s specialist was called in to handle the neurological disorders of dozens if not hundreds of military staff members in the WH.
I’m suspecting it’s because they have to deal with Kamala on a daily basis…
My wife theorized that Biden will (if he lives long enough) wait until after the election, then take the following actions: pardon Hunter et al of all past and future crimes, then admit that his physical (not mental) infirmity is too much for him to go on, and resign from office. Kamala will then become the first woman President, giving the Democrats (who giving women the vote) that landmark. She will then pardon Joe of all past, present, and future crimes, evident or not, and continue his role as sock puppet for Obama.
Note that this works whether Biden wins or not. Given the lengths to which the Left is willing to go to keep hold of power, I think they are probably capable of stealing this election, and no one will be able to successfully challenge it.

Before I read Michael S. Kelly’s comment, I was going to write that I think the whole Parkinson’s thing is a head fake. They’ll “reluctantly” announce that Biden is suffering from the early stages which is treatable while pointing out that the impairment is to motor function, NOT cognitive function. Which is true enough.
If you look at Michael J, Fox, it’s clear that, as his disease has progressed, he has increasing trouble forming and speaking words but is able to form thoughts fine.
It may even be true, there is nothing that prevents someone with Parkinson’s from having other issues. As a completely unqualified layman, it’s clear that Biden does have a serious, progressive cognitive impairment, but probably not Alzheimer’s.
