“My fellow Americans. They tell you that four-dollar gasoline is the end of the world. They tell you six-dollar diesel means we have to fold. And the same voices that want you poorer in the name of theory want you quieter in the face of a regime that has been at war with this country since 1979.
I don’t buy it. And you shouldn’t buy it either.
Let me tell you what Americans used to do when the stakes were real. In World War II, most people didn’t get a full tank. They got a sticker on the windshield. An “A” sticker. Three gallons. Four gallons. Sometimes two. That was the week. Not the day. The week. Speed limit: thirty-five miles an hour. No new cars. Tires rationed. Sugar rationed. Meat rationed. Coffee rationed. Shoes rationed. Factories stopped making refrigerators and started making tanks. Four hundred thousand of our people never came home.
They did it because they understood something very simple. If you lose to people who want to run the world, you don’t get a discount later. You get a different country. A different world. They paid the price on purpose.
And then — this is the part the decliners never mention — they won. And when they won, the country did not stay on rations as a lifestyle. The plants switched back. The cars came back. The houses went up. Wages rose. Families formed. Children were born into a world of plenty their parents had only dreamed about in the Depression and the war.
That was not an accident. That was what victory looks like when a serious people finish the job.
Now look at us. Regular gas is about four dollars and forty-six cents. Diesel is about six-forty. Up a dollar and change from last year. That’s real money for a trucker. That’s real money for a farmer. I get it. I grew up around people who work. But let’s have some proportion. You can still fill the tank. You can still drive to work. You can still take the trip. Nobody is punching a ration coupon and sending you home after four gallons.
That’s not sacrifice. That’s a bill. And a lot of that bill exists because a regime in Tehran still thinks it can put a gun to the world’s oil.
Iran seized our embassy. They backed the bombing that killed two hundred and forty-one of our people in Beirut. Khobar Towers. Iranian-made bombs in Iraq — the Pentagon said hundreds of our troops. Missiles at our bases. Drones. Proxies.
For forty-seven years they’ve been hitting Americans and calling it “resistance.” Now they sit on the Strait of Hormuz and try to charge rent on the industrial world’s bloodstream. And they want the weapon that makes all of that permanent.
If they get nuclear warheads and the missiles to carry them, they do not become a normal country. They become a nuclear protection racket. They can close the Strait and dare you to open it. They can arm every militia from Baghdad to Beirut and say: touch our proxies and a city burns. They can put a nuclear shadow over our bases, over Israel, over the partners who keep the oil moving.
One warhead does not have to land in New York to change your life. It only has to sit on a missile and make every President calculate whether four-dollar gas today is worth a mushroom cloud tomorrow.
That is the foreign problem. Here is the domestic one. For years you’ve been told that American strength is the disease. That cheap energy is a sin. That the country that beat the Depression and the Axis should feel guilty for producing, drilling, building, and winning. That’s not compassion. That’s a theory of decline. Call it Marxism, call it managed poverty with better branding — the result is the same.
They will ration your life for an ideology. They will not ask you to stand up to a theocracy with missiles. Notice the switch. When the subject is climate paperwork and central planning, scarcity is noble. When the subject is a government that chants “Death to America,” scarcity is a reason to quit. That is not peace. That is a country talking itself out of the will its grandparents had in a ration line.
Iran is not a Marxist republic. Don’t insult your own intelligence. It is a revolutionary clerical state. The overlap is this: both treat the West as the obstacle, and both need you tired, divided, and ashamed of the power that keeps the lights on.
So here is the hope. And it is not a fairy tale. We have already lived it. After World War II, Americans did not become a smaller people. They became a bigger one. The same generation that saved grease and scrap metal built the interstate, filled the suburbs, started companies, and raised the Baby Boom — kids who grew up with full plates, full tanks, and the assumption that tomorrow would be larger than yesterday.
That boom did not come from surrender. It came from ending the thing that was eating the future. When the Tehran regime is finished — not managed, not subsidized, not endlessly negotiated into another decade of drones and blackmail — the same door opens. Oil moves without a revolutionary tax. The Strait is a waterway again, not a weapon. Our troops stop absorbing rockets from militias on a retainer. Capital comes back to building instead of hedging against the next shock. Prices come down because the risk premium comes down. And a generation that has been told to expect less can start expecting more: work, families, homes, cheap energy, and a country that is not permanently on the edge of someone else’s holy war.
That is the deal. Pay a price now that your grandparents would have recognized as light. Finish the regime that has been waging war on us since 1979. Then cash the peace the way they did — not in slogans, but in plenty.
The Greatest Generation took a ration book to stop empires and then gave their children the most prosperous civilization in history. Four-fifty gasoline is a weak excuse for leaving your children a nuclear blackmailer on the world’s energy tap.
I don’t accept that. You shouldn’t accept that. A dollar at the pump is lower than a nuclear gun at the throat of the West. And on the other side of this is not endless emergency. On the other side is the thing America does best when it wins: growth, babies, full shelves, and a future that feels like it belongs to us again.

Not bad but it would be better to leave out any mention of gas lines and rationing.
I’d put in more about blue state’s gas taxes higher than the increase from the war.
I’m old, but I haven’t forgotten 1973. Imagine if gas was $16.00 a gallon. And you had to get in line for the privilege of purchasing it. When you got home your President was being publicly humiliated on the nightly news by these same people. American hostages were paraded through their streets.
Now let’s imagine those same thugs have nukes of any flavor. Do you think a good round of negotiating will make anything better?
Sadly for the Iranian people who have been cowed into passivity, no one is coming. The Don has already given you all the help you can ever expect. He will leave them in charge after leveling a bit more infrastructure and removing the nuke fuel even under fire. When their humiliation is complete the regime will have only you to stomp and murder. Good luck with that.

New Masques are being built all pover Texas and the US. Stopping them will have difficulty with our own court system but it must be done.
As for Iran, it was not militarily wise to start this ruckus now. So is the Ukraine effort. We cannot build enough ships, planes, missiles and bullets to keep up. These wars will never end.

You can’t remove Islam without undermining the US and what it stands for: freedom, democracy, and in this particular case, the freedom to worship as you like.
This becomes even more difficult to achieve because there is a significant number of US citizens who are Muslim. It’s been making inroads since the 1960s. What are you going to do with these people? What happens if they refuse to drop Islam?

Is there supposed to be a problem with that? This is one of the areas that the US excels at: parting fools from their wealth via pretentious status/virtue signaling. And after the building fad ends because the money runs out, we can use those mosques for things like homes, stores, warehouses, data centers, whatever.

A vote for lesser evil is still a vote for evil. And there’s all the free publicity that the Trump administration gave the DSA. If you’re trying to be the lesser evil, then you need a greater evil. This goes the other way as well. During the Biden administration, the national level DSA lost about a third of its membership. Without Trump, they were dying.
Before you vote, consider the codependency between the Trump faction and the DSA. Is that what you want? Here’s hoping too those political machinations don’t result in a hardcore DSA president in 2028 or 2032.
As to the Iranian war, I remain against it. While Iran is further away from nuclear weapons, that has been obtained via a wasteful approach. The Iranian government likely has been strengthened. Unlike democracies, the political hold of tyrannies are strengthened by privation and scarcity, exactly what the war provides.
I remain disappointed by the inability of the US side to counter really obvious Iranian strategies (blockading the Strait of Hormuz and firing rockets at US bases in the region) – obvious as in they should have been expecting those strategies from before the war started and already have counters in place. Victorious warriors win first and then go to war.
Finally, I note the signs that the war might be expanding. Saudi Arabia is struggling in their war with the Houthi rebels in Yemen. Ukraine has attacked Iranian shipping in the Caspian Sea.
While the narrative of sacrifice in the vein of the Second World War may be prophetic, it comes from a war that has been incompetently run and without an exit in sight. I’d rather hear the war speech from Trump’s replacement.
Mosques are a fundamental part of the Islamic takeover. They are Religious, Political, and most important, a Military Center. They MUST be removed or freedom in the West will disappear.
Defend the Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC.
Work is afoot to establish a new party, un-named as yet, to replace the UNI-PARTY now in power. Stand by for 2028.
We could stop Muslim immigration the same we did with communists and target the existing population the same way Democrats did to Christians or use methods other countries do to counter jihadis. There are a lot of things we can do within the existing constitutional framework.
Trump obviously did anticipate the strait being closed by Iran but in the real world, things don’t just magically happen. Time is real and things take time. Don’t forget, for months people were saying there was no plan for the straight and during that time, the plan was being implemented. Mines were cleared, a blockade was set up, Iranian assets used to attack shipping were degraded, etc. Oil moving out of the GCC is almost at prewar levels.
The GOP isn’t the lesser of two evils. They aren’t even evil.
There’s a notion that has grown up to the effect that the 1st Amendment guarantees “freedom of religion.” No, it doesn’t. It prohibits any level of government from establishing a state-backed religion. Period. It places no restriction on the right of any level of government to control religious practice in ways consistent with maintenance of American notions of the public good.
If the Aztec religion was still around, for example, we would not permit the mass human sacrifice rituals that were the central aspect of its practice. We would also not tolerate the pre-Raj Hinduism that burned widows on their dead husband’s funeral pyres. Even now, the Santeria religion exists pretty much in the shadows because of animal sacrifices essential to its practice.
Islam is simply another noxious religion among many that will either have to conform to the norms of Western Civilization or be cast out.
On that 1st Amendment prohibition against governments establishing religions, I think a reasonable case could be made that playing the Muslim call to prayer five times a day in most of NYC at volume levels that rival a heavy metal concert constitutes an attempt at establishing Islam as the official religion of NYC. That the non-Muslim citizens of NYC – which is most of them – should be aurally assaulted by extended-play Arabic caterwauling morning noon and night, plus two other times of day, is an outrage and is, at the very least, violative of local noise laws.
Islam, let us face facts, is not a religion capable of playing nicely with others – or even among themselves. Most of its core belief system is entirely incompatible with Western Civilization. Western Civilization should, therefore, expunge Islam from its territories. In the US, that means banning further Islamic immigration, the closing of mosques and the de-naturalization or revocation of citizenship of anyone who fails a polygraph test when asked the question “Are you a Muslim?” followed by mandatory exile for life.
