  1. Taubes refers to Alzheimer’s as Diabetes Type III – and believes there is some (or a lot) of evidence that it has a significant dietary component. Solution if you are a Taubes fan is a lo-carb diet.

Chiefio a couple years ago had an extended discussion about the use of borax / boron supplements. One of the things boron works is that it preferentially replaces over-abundance of aluminum in the brain. The Chiefio suggestion is that boron is actually the necessary element, but in times of a shortage the body will grab something chemically similar to it; in this case aluminum which sits right under it on the periodic table. An overabundance of aluminum is one of the post mortem things found in the brains of those that die of Alzheimer’s.

Measuring correct amounts of borax to mix in water is difficult because it is needed in tiny amounts. You can purchase boron chelate dietary supplements from your local health food store and imbibe controlled amounts.

We have Alzheimer’s in my family and I started taking boron chelate a couple years ago. First supp that I ever noticed a change, as my dreams came back, which I take to be a good sign. Watch the dosage closely. There are ways to deal with Alzheimer’s. Cheers –

    1. But don’t expect the nanny state to believe this for twenty years. They’ll push the food pyramid. And now that they’re paying for your health care, don’t be surprised if they enforce it.
