  1. Exactly as predicted by scientists, I gained 22 lbs. by cutting out carbs.

Oh wait, I lost 22 lbs. My body refuses to listen to scientific consensus! I must be eliminated.

  2. Studies with mice are a good idea – when first testing things that might be too dangerous to test on humans. The way this article draws conclusions about people from mice is insane. Loads of people have been testing paleo diets for years now.

  3. Man, they just beat the hell out of that strawman, didn’t they? “The mice were switched from a three per cent fat diet to a 60 per cent fat diet. Their carbs were reduced to only 20 per cent.”

So they cut protein dramatically, did not reduce carbs enough, filled in the rest with fat, and found that this utterly deranged diet was, hey surprise, bad for their mice.

  4. Yeah I’ve gone from 77Kg to 70 Kg by switching to low carb, high fat. My wife has gone from 53 Kg to 49Kg.
This “study” proves once again that academia needs to be downsized by 95%. We’d never notice the difference.
