Rosenstein

I watched some of the testimony this morning. Basically, he played dumb bureaucrat who got played by the FBI. In so doing, he threw McCabe under the bus. He’ll be a key witness at trial. The deer-in-the-headlights look as Ted Cruz excoriated him was amusing.

I wish that I was surprised that the Democrats attempted to downplay what happened. They used to pretend to care about the use of foreign-surveillance techniques to spy on Americans. I guess Orange Man Bad covers all sins.

[Thursday-morning update]

Rosenstein: I’m accountable, but not responsible.

What a mealy-mouthed twerp.

I refer you to your link to datechguy. Civil liberties are only important as far as they allow Democrats to protect themselves and attack their enemies. Some Democrats do respect civil liberties from a principled perspective but they are powerless, won’t/can’t do anything about their party, and are what the KGB called, useful idiots.

  2. It was his (Rosenstein’s) responsibility – duty – job to know what he was signing…

Not to say that the rest of the Hoover Building thugs shouldn’t be prosecuted as well…

But, I guess the first rat off the ship wins..

    1. I know noth-think! I see noth-think! I did not even get out of bed this morning?

      Please, Senator Cruz, please!

  3. I gave up any idea that the elected migrant workers in DC or anyone else for that matter gave a frig about our constitutional rights when Clapper perjured himself during testimony in answer to a direct question posed my Senator Wyden with no consequence. Way back before the Trump era.

  4. Where is the FBI?

The United States is in the first attacks by an armed and organized insurgency…Pallets of bricks don’t just magically show up at future riot sites, after all. This shows that an organized opponent has been planning this for quite some time – years or more.

Where is the US intelligence apparatus? The FBI, which is specifically tasked with investigating domestic violence?

Bricks…Printed riot instructions. Dressing to minimize personal identification. Common cellphones provided to demonstrators. People travelling inter-state for these ‘spontaneous’ demonstrations.

Why do we pay for an FBI?

We’ll see if those were deliberately placed or not. It could be construction contractors putting those bricks wherever they could find room.

It’s also easy for said organized opponent to make up shit. If there’s more to this, it’ll come out.

Why? Well, someone has to drop off pallets of bricks, print riot instructions, instruct people how to dress to minimize personal identification, give them common cell phones, and arrange for interstate travel to ‘spontaneous’ demonstrations. Who better than the agency that has been trying to overthrow the elected government of the United States for the past three years?

  5. I think there was a stigma of investigating left wing groups after the backlash from the 60’s. That stigma was never applied to investigating Trump, the Tea Party, or any normal people much.
