  1. “Later in that interview, Anderson attributes the lack of firearm restrictions following the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting to an “underlying fear that if there are real gun safety laws then Whites will be left defenseless against these Black people.””

Huh? Two totally unrelated events and somehow the actions of a psycho white kid are turned into white people being racist against blacks?

“Anderson went on to criticize the National Rifle Association for not issuing a sufficiently strong statement on the shooting.”

Yes, the enthusiasm hurdle. It doesn’t matter what is said. What matters is how enthusiastic you are but the trick is, you will never be enthusiastic enough because the reality is the problem isn’t what was said or how much feeling you put in it but how they view the identity of the individual or group.

Trump could never denounce racism strong enough because they view him as racist. The NRA could never yell loud enough about black people having the right to keep and bear arms because they view the NRA as racist. Denial of them proclaiming you racist means that you are racist, according to Progressive Fascist ideology.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that because black people made a big chunk of the new gun owners of the last couple years that people on the right were going to start calling for gun control. At the same time, Second Amendment fans are saying welcome to the club and point to the large number of black, Asian, and Hispanic firearm aficionados who produce content to consume. The hope for many is that an appreciation for the 2nd will lead to an appreciation for our other rights, our culture, and system of government in general. But a lot of commies like guns too, so its a battle.

The question is whether this person is ignorant or a liar. Gun control in the US was instituted to keep black people down, and they weren’t even trying to hide it. I don’t remember if it was the Dred Scott case or a different one that said in pretty much so many words that blacks couldn’t be citizens, because if they were, then they would be entitled to all the rights of the citizen, including the right to keep and bear arms.

  2. Virtually all of the early gun control laws were to keep firearms away from Blacks (in the South) or minorities (east coast cities, against ‘swarthy immigrants’ like Jews, Italians, Asians, eetc, pushed by democrats.

Gun control is racist. The plain reading of the second amendment is not

    1. You could shut her down with “If blacks had guns they wouldn’t have been slaves.”

    2. Clayton Cramer’s got a fairly comprehensive article about it called “the racist roots of gun control.”

    3. Yes, that is my understanding as well. Same goes for drugs laws as well. White southerners were worried that hyped up black men would attack white women. That was also the progressive eugenics era so they didn’t want blacks to breed either. Racism is funny that way.

      1. Joe Biden was the point man in the Senate when the drug laws were toughened. You can thank him for laws that imposed stiffer sentences for crack cocaine than for powder cocaine.

  3. Bellesiles was correctly discredited, so here they are trying again. They always come back.
