Evolving Shuttle
Would a new version be a good idea? In my opinion, it would be a terrible idea, but compared to Ares it would be brilliant, and a very thrifty and cost-effective concept. Unfortunately, we’re unlikely to get any actual good ideas, given the politics.

…conservative? A lot of “liberals” seem to think so. I’m not a big fan of the genre myself.

One of Clark’s links is particularly interesting. Now that the report is out, Jeff Greason is unleashed: “It’s time to base US space policy on the truth.”
I’ve had some similar conversations with Jeff throughout the summer, but kept them off the record at his request. I suspect we’ll be hearing a lot more from him now, though.
