The Republicans’ Choice

I suspect that once DeSantis starts to seriously go after Trump, his support will drop to only his rabid base. As Michael Barone points out, Trump’s biggest failing is his unwillingness to actually understand issues and to hire flawed “experts,” while pretending that he’s a genius.

    Trump’s or DeSantis’?

      1. On the internet he does.

Two most contentious topics right now are Ukraine and Trump vs DeSantis. It hasn’t been entertaining to watch.

    1. DeSantis suffers from the Clown Car Effect. Too many other candidates siphoning off support. How many are in it because they are grifters or think they actually have a shot? How many are in on it and helping Trump?

The people who don’t like Trump, need to get all the losers, grifters, and psyop spoilers to drop the race early, like before a vote is cast or near after.

  2. It won’t take many more remarks from Trump like his ringing defense of Cuomo to convince me a Trump-Biden contest would be a choice between two senile old men.

  3. I’ll vote Trump next election.

I’ll vote DeSantis the following two.

DeSamtis is great. It’s not yet his time.

Wait for it, D. You’ll be better for it.

All the rest of you: FOAD.

    I’m entitled to my opinions.

    1. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. But you have already told me I should die, so please excuse me if I ignore your entitled opinion.

      1. It was merely hyperbole. Not individually tailored specifically for you. }8^D

Why would you own it? ;^)

It was a technique I learned from Democrats.

We have much still to learn and adopt for the needed Hardening.

  4. I haven’t be following the recent comments of either candidate, so I have no clue on the details.

What I will say regarding Trump is something I’d say about any candidate in his situation; he’s a poor choice in some ways, due to only being able to serve one term. Given that the historical trend is that it’s unusual for a party to hold the white house when a sitting president isn’t running for reelection, I’d prefer to have a Republican in the white house who’s able to run for reelection.

That, of course, doesn’t mean I’d vote for a candidate who’s utterly unacceptable in other ways (Jeb Bush comes to mind…) it’s just one of several factors for me.

I know very little about DeSantis, other than he seems to be doing a great job as governor, and handled COVID exceedingly well.

  5. I’ve been a Florida resident more than half my life. Desantis is a great governor, if you’re right-leaning like me.

We’ve had several good governors in my time. Jeb was one. Wouldn’t have voted for him for President. He did good for the state.

I’m Independent/Unaffiliated. Been a Dem. Been a Rep. Never liked the two fingers stuck up my nose by them both.

I’ll vote Trump because he’s my middle finger expressing itself.
