Hey, it’s the best thing they’ve ever done for the space program (a low bar for them, or California Democrats in general), though they’re certainly doing it at the behest of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne in Canoga Park and Aerojet in Sacramento, not because they care about space. It Couldn’t Possibly Be Because She Knows History
See, when Sarah Palin gets something right that her critics get wrong, it’s just because she’s lucky:
Patrick Leehey of the Paul Revere House said Revere was probably bluffing his British captors, but reluctantly conceded that it could be construed as Revere warning the British.
“I suppose you could say that,” Leehey said. “But I don’t know if that’s really what Mrs. Palin was referring to.”
McConville said he also is not convinced that Palin’s remarks reflect scholarship.
“I would call her lucky in her comments,” McConville said.
Well, I think I have to go with the professor here:
But Cornell law professor William Jacobson, who asserted last week that Palin was correct, linking to Revere quotes on his conservative blog Legalinsurrection.com, said Palin’s critics are the ones in need of a history lesson. “It seems to be a historical fact that this happened,” he said. “A lot of the criticism is unfair and made by people who are themselves ignorant of history.”
OK, but at least they understand business, and economics, and world affairs. Right? I mean, they are our moral and intellectual superiors. We can be sure of this because they tell us so.

It looks like the “two-phase” approach to the Senate Launch System, which would have resulted in a rocket that flew only four times for billions per flight, is dead. The problem is, they still have to operate within the absurd design constraints imposed by the porkers on the Hill.

For picking Debbie Wasserman Schultz to head the DNC:
…she…seems an odd choice to lead the national party. She is not terribly well-known, is not considered an expert on the less-than-gentle art of politics, and, as she has shown in recent days, is somewhat gaffe prone.
Plus she talks as though she has a mouth full of marbles. This may cost Obama Florida (i.e., the election). Not that he has great chances there to begin with.
