For Climate Alarmists

Chris Martz has ten questions:

I’d like to see Michael Mann’s answers.

  1. I’d like to see Michael Mann’s answers.

So would I. Unfortunately, neither side believes the other asks questions in good faith. I’m afraid you contributed to that state of affairs by comparing Mann to Jerry Sandusky.

  2. I figure CO2 was labeled air pollution because it’s invisible, there’s no standard for the “right” level, and we make more every time we breathe. We can deal with normal air pollution, with startling visible results – look out the window! If the Chinese cared, they could clear up Beijing.

Can’t do that with CO2. It’s an unsolvable problem that will get you funding and prestige for life. Of course now there are true believers who’ve bought the lie.

    That’s my take, anyway.

  3. Guy I know was a 747 freighter Captain with Cathay Pacific. One day they found they would fly over the middle of Beijing on a day with no cloud at midday. Didn’t see a thing due smog at lower levels.

  4. It seems to me, that if you don’t believe in God, you will believe anything.
Global warming is an anything, and it’s a very stupid, anything.

    1. Magical thinking is a trait inherent to the human condition. At least religious people are self aware.

  5. It seems to me, that if you don’t believe in God, you will believe anything.

It must be true; it says so right in the Quran.

  6. Pretty much spot on. And was from Day 1.

EVs may catch on simply when they are cheaper to own and operate.
We are probably there already. Although for me, rewiring the garage to 220 is a bit of a barrier at the moment. Not much of one I’ll admit. However, I still have the nagging fear of charging an EV in an attached garage… That too will probably pass…

    As the poet once said:
    Nothing to do
    With CO2

      1. It is a Tesla, after all. Your HOA wouldn’t mind a Wardenclyffe Tower in your back yard, would they?

  7. If you want to minimize tornadoes and floods and hurricanes, it seems clear the correct answer is 3°K.
