The Farook Family Arsenal
Yes, the least suspicious thing about their activities was the number of rounds they had on hand. It really isn’t unusual for target shooters. particularly when people are reasonably concerned about supply, do either to intermittent heavy demand demand by law enforcement agencies, or threats of of purchase limits.
The number of pipe bombs and IEDs, on the other hand, is quite atypical.
Loretta Lynch And The New York Times
How they made me join the NRA:
I wouldn’t doubt the editorial board of the NYT is also aware that the policy of the Nazi party was pretty close to what they are recommending, the confiscation of guns — for the National Socialists so that they could be sure they were only in the hands of those deemed acceptable (not Jews, etc.). To use Orwell’s term this time, that would make the NYT “objectively pro-fascist.”
But perhaps less harmful than our own government. Reacting to the San Bernardino Islamic ideology-based terror rampage… er, workplace violence… the first thing out of our attorney general’s mouth was to warn James Comey, director of the FBI, that the real danger from this event was anti-Muslim backlash and to watch his language. In other words, don’t call a duck a duck. According to DCWhispers, the order had come down from Obama and Jarrett to Lynch, in which order was unspecified, that Comey’s statements should be bowdlerized. It was.
Okay, I’ve had it. Mr. LaPierre, as I told you, I’m in. You’ve got another one-time Jewish lefty in the NRA. That should make at least one of us.
Now give me your guns, based on a list that I alone control. https://t.co/qkRHE3GXAd

Obama's not only the greatest gun salesman in history, he's also the greatest ammo salesman in history. https://t.co/g9ykBllj6H

If these people want a civil war, they should be careful what they wish for, and shouldn’t delude themselves that they’ll win it. I don’t know if America will survive, but they sure as hell won’t.
[Update a few minutes later]
Barack Obama is getting what he wanted:
We now know from media reports that the President intends to call for gun control. He may even try by executive order.
This was the plan all along. Just like Europe.
Get Americans worried and fearful about terrorism, show that the government is incapable of dealing effectively with it, then declare that the only solution is to round up guns so terrorists cannot get them.
It is all by design. The President never had any intention of working aggressively to stop domestic terrorism. He needed it to fester and call it something else, just as he needs problems with Obamacare to fester to get to single payer, in order to curtail our freedoms.
Many of us saw this coming eight years ago. But more didn’t, or did and were cheering for it.
[Update a few minutes later]
The New York Times is calling for immense expense and a political civil war to reduce gun violence a negligible amount.
San Bernardino Could Have Been Prevented
…but at what cost? My thoughts on the latest battle in Islam’s war with us.
Obama’s War On Western Civilization
To lay the blame for what happened Wednesday in San Bernardino on Barack Obama might seem excessive. But if not on him, who? From the day he took office, the president has been engaged in a game of outright denial that Islam has anything to do with what is wrong in the world.
In fact, if he ever points a finger, it’s usually at Western imperialism or Christianity or Republicans or Benjamin Netanyahu (to name a few of his favorite enemies).
But never at the I-word.
To paraphrase H.L. Mencken, “When somebody says it’s not about Islam, it’s about Islam.”
Syed Farook did not go to Saudi Arabia to study Zen Buddhism.
America, and its trailing entities in Europe, has a problem now of gargantuan proportions. Barack Obama was and is precisely the wrong man, possibly the worst conceivable man, to be president of the United States at this point in history. No one more invidious could be invented.
Still amazing that he got elected once, let alone twice.
The Latest Hillary Emails
It looks like she was an architect of the Benghazi lie.
I’m sure you’re as shocked as I am.
The Christian Terrorism Problem
No, America doesn’t have one.
Sure are a lot of Christophobes out there.
Obama And Syria
No, calling people names from overseas won’t distract from what a huge mess (with Hillary’s help) you’ve created.
Ron Fournier (a slow learner) has thrown in the towel on him:
Klain didn’t say this but I will: On ISIS, Obama breaks every rule. He minimizes the threat and dismisses our fears, which raises doubts about his candor and capability. An overwhelming majority of Americans disapprove of his handling of ISIS, a new poll shows, and 81 percent think ISIS will strike the United States.
In July 2013, six months into his second term, I wrote a column that questioned whether Obama would fulfill his enormous potential, whether he even cared anymore about his promises to change Washington, whether he could write the modern rules of the presidency and build a new bully pulpit. I asked, “What if Obama can’t lead?”
I now have my answer.
The answer was pretty visible eight years ago, really, to those less blinded by the supposed charisma, and the fantasy “potential.”
And it’s obvious from his demeanor whom Obama considers the enemy. It’s not in the Middle East.

Brussels
The present of “the city of white sepulchres” present is the future of the West, if we continue to allow it:
Brussels’ failures are emblematic of Europe’s failings. The city that hopes to govern a post-national Europe has been made impotent by the petty jealousies and nasty rivalries of two ethnic groups barely large enough to qualify as tribes in much of the world. Brussels is in some ways a satire of the European project: committed to transnational goals, hobbled by unresolved ethnic spats. A city dedicated to universal secular human values is now threatened by fanatical death cults that have grown up in its miserable, insecure slums.
The West as a whole these days is cursed by moral grandiosity and failing performance. Our self-esteem has seldom been more robust, or our performance more pitiable. We busy ourselves with what we think is the last unfinished work of implementing universal egalitarianism, by for example tending to high school students who identify with a gender other than that into which they were born, ensuring that they can use the restrooms toward which their aspirations lead them. We see ourselves as courageous warriors even as the foundations of our world are beginning to crack. We claim that tolerance and diversity are the touchstones of our civilization, and have raised a generation of weaklings who cannot bear to be exposed to unorthodox ideas or to the bustle and collisions that life in a diverse society inevitably brings. To cite another of Jesus’ condemnations of hypocrisy, we ‘tithe mint and dill and cumin, and neglect the weightier matters of the law.’ That is, we busy ourselves obsessively over small bore issues, and ignore the graver challenges that face us on every side.
Because reality is too harsh.

I think that ISIS has fatally exposed it.
The Jews Of Nazi Germany
The latest leftist trope is that the public reaction to them at the time was the same as it is for the “harmless” Syrian refugees now. The only problem with that is that (unexpectedly!) the comparison doesn’t hold up.
