More thuggery from our friendly federal government:
Rarely have we heard a Cabinet official tell Americans to stay out of political debates at the risk of losing their businesses. It points out the danger in having government run industries and holding a position where politicians can actually destroy a business out of spite.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t been as rare as I’d like it lately.
…why do the perceptions of violent Islamists suddenly matter when it comes to the movement of the mosque but not to the original placement of the mosque?

With so many Democrats running against the president’s agenda in the midterm, change will come in the next Congress, regardless of which party is in control.
Yup. If they run against this now, but don’t support repeal and reversal if they win, there will be new cudgels to beat them with in 2012, as not only Obama supporters, but liars.

Still no correlation between local unemployment and stimulus spending. Great to know that we put ourselves into debt for nothing.

I would add that other partisan spin for the Republicans is that the House bill would ensure our continued dependency on the Russians for ISS support for the indefinite future, and force us to continue to waive the requirements of the Iran/North-Korea/Syria Non-Proliferation Act (INKSNA), letting them evade their responsibilities to follow its dictates.

I know that it’s old news, but this is the first time I actually sat down and listened to this hearing excerpt. Alan Grayson is an ass and a jerk, but I can understand his frustration with Bolden, who doesn’t realize that the Augustine panel made no recommendations, who doesn’t know what the word “commercial” means, didn’t know whether or not Flexible Path included Constellation (it didn’t necessarily), isn’t able to articulate what the plans are, and doesn’t generally seem to know what’s going on at all.
