At a glance, the explosion cloud was somewhat reddish (as was the pre-explosion smoke). That’s typically a sign of nitrogen content. Won’t get that from pure sodium perchlorate, but you can from chemicals like ammonium nitrate. Maybe it was mostly sodium perchlorate, but they were storing it with other fun stuff.
Whatever it was, it was ‘sploidy.
I wonder if someone’s pager fell into it?
Another ammonium nitrate disaster. When are they going to learn that the saving you get for the ammonium nitrate just doesn’t make up for paying the ammonium dayrate?
