Alan dershowitz doesn’t think the odds of getting a conviction in the case of Letia James are very good . The judge apparently is an Obama appointee and the northern Virginia district she will presumably be tried in while not as liberal as say Washington DC or Manhattan is liberal enough compared to the rest of Virginia. Although I did hear more indictments might be coming I’m not sure if those will also be in northern Virginia or in New York. If they’re in New York you can forget about getting a conviction.

Even if she’s found guilty in the Northern Virginia district trial very likely the Obama appointed judge will give her a wrist slap of a sentence.
Unfortunately I can also easily picture a biased judge giving jury instructions like “well if you think in your judgment these charges were brought about for the wrong reason (i.e. Political or personal motivations) you can take that into consideration when deciding the guilt or innocence.”
I find the concept of a judge endorsing jury nullification wildly entertaining.
