I missed the briefing in which “islamism” was defined, one of many briefings I’ve missed over the years.
What is islamism, and how is it related to, or distinguished from, islam?
I’ve also noticed that moslem and muslim have disappeared from usage. Was that also covered in the briefing?
Fussiness about the English spellings of transliterated names seems to be common now, too.
Must have been a comprehensive briefing.
Thanks in advance.
“Islam” is the same as “Islamism” except that they soft-pedal the jihad stuff by spinning some salad about it being an internal struggle to master the self. If, like me, you doubt that they mean it, then there is no difference.

Hope this helps.
The full term is “islamofascism”
