  1. I was thinking of a mass drop of small arms and ammo from C-5s… You know, 2nd Amendment in action…

    1. Trump Doctrine: Overwhelming use of military force for defined and limited objective.

This is the lens you need to view it through.

Trump was unable to deploy overwhelming military force at a moments notice for a black swan event. He thought about doing something, planes were in the air, but decided against it because a limited strike would not be overwhelming force that would achieve the objective and we didn’t have our ship based missile defense assets in place to shoot down all of the drones and missiles from a retaliatory strike.

Without being able to land a decisive blow while also not being able to swat down the response, it would have been a disaster for us and our allies in the region.

Often times, what feels emotionally satisfying is not the right course of action and can land us in trouble.

Iran isn’t venezuela and a lot of preparation went into venezuela. In a situation like this, it is important to do the right thing, not just do something.

A CSG is on the way along with other stuff ferried by plane but ultimately, the Iranians will have to topple their own government and no matter how that happens, it means Iranians are going to die.

  2. Why can’t the Democrats speak frankly about Iran?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they threw in with the Mullahs during the Obama administration and are still pimping for Iran’s stooges.

    1. Mohammed, Jain, and Majad/ The Iranian Stooges.

I cheated a bit. Majad means curly, but Jain means fine (as in Lary Fine). Calling Doctor Howard! Doctor Fine! Doctor Howard!

  3. I think it’s standard totalitarian tactics. Cow the population with overwhelming displays of force. The leaders of Iran have more to fear from their own people than they do a military force from the US.

    1. As wretchard and some of his astute audience have said, economic conditions are responsible for the protests and those economic conditions are not going to change whether we get involved or not.
