  1. I grew up believing this woman was little short of evil incarnate, thanks to government financed broadcasting and education systems. She may or may not be a pleasant individual, but much of her economic policies have become official EU policy (Lisbon agenda). The lady was decades ahead of her times.

  2. It wasn’t just the economics. She, Reagan and the pope joined up to defeat the Soviet Union without fighting a shot, something that was unimaginable in the seventies.

  3. Well, let’s not forget the Fifth Column within the USSR, namely its embrace of full-scale socialism. Had the Russians kept their liberal democracy in 1917 it would have been a very different story, they might well have been a colossus by the 80s.

  4. Bless her heart, she’s still a trooper. It’s nice to see that she can still get out and about, despite the strokes.
