  1. Bye by Moon. Bye bye Mars. Hello recovered economy, after eight years of fiscal ineptness. Dow is way up, and jobs are tracking as projected.

    Obama has much bigger problems on his plate than education or the Moon. They were served to him on a silver platter by the previous administration. What does this nation have to be proud of after those eight years? Saddam’s gun, I guess.

    Augustine’s team will offer options that the administration can match up with policy. If policy shall dictate that stupidity will not be tolerated, and realism is key, then there are probably many intriguing options that might pertain.

    No, I’m staying in a (cheaper) place on the Camino Real in Mountain View.

  7. I am economizing on the rental car by not having one. (Insert joke about saving money on car insurance w/ Geico here)

    The downside (and not much of one) is that my hotel is just across US 101 from the Moffett main gate, so I walk or taxi, as needed. An honest to YHWH groceria next door, so I got my first good pan dulce in years. YUM!

    Fixin’ to run over there now. 85 degrees, sunny. A mile to the train station and the north end of Mtn View’s Olde Towne Centre(TM).

  10. Norm Augustine just addressed the NASA Advisory Council via telephone. I have several pages of notes. NAC members asked questions as well. I hope to write up these notes this evening. I will use my blog and post a link here. No, I don’t want to do same sitting in a hotel conference room.
