I used to live in Waukegan, just north of Chicago.. Guns were a problem there too. And they were almost impossible to get.
Legally.
If you wanted guns illegally, they were easy to get. I was approached several times, in the elevator of our building. And it was in a nice, middle-class neighborhood, mostly families, not the dumps. But the sellers knew many of us were there for short periods of time, for school, not used to the “big city” and knew that some guys would buy a gun to keep at home. Many did. I was already armed on arrival, so I never bought.
If guns were that easy to get 35 years ago, I shudder to think what it must be like now.
I will celebrate the day they throw this corrupt bastard in Jail.
He should be there for what the Son of a Bitch did to Meigs Field alone.
