  1. Nothing is LESS glamorous than stupidity. Then again, she may be to vapid, to be merely stupid.

  2. Nope…

But let me point out that this woman has created an entire career out of being a vapid partygirl with so much cosmetic surgery that she risks melting if she stands next to a radiator. Perhaps she isn’t all that dumb?

  3. I know someone who said that she wants to be just like paris hilton. I laughed, thinking she was screwing around (she’s 19 or something like that now) but after a few more times meeting her, I realized that she was Dead Effing Serious.

  4. ???

I really must have missheard the question.

    Ivanka Trump, yes.

    Paris Hilton?!!
Shes personally turned the Hilton name from a respected brand to x rated joke. Shes about as glamorus as a porn star.

  5. Of course you’ll notice that Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera have all but disappeared from the media scene it seems like. You’ve got the likes of Taylor Swift taking over the charts. She seems fairly wholesome and her songs are about romeo and juliet, so I’ve read. So, maybe there is some hope for humanity yet. I even make heart signs with my hands now. I heart you, I heart you all!

  6. 12 years ago if you told me that christine aguillera would be the adult of the two, I would have laughed in your face.

Christina dropped off the face, because she rarely records anymore and is raising her family with her not infinitely recognizable husband. But she never played to the paps, and reacted with class.

Class is boring, so no more coverage.

  7. The science is settled. Glamor is more than just makeup. It’s also an attitude – it’s poise, emotional as well as physical. Glamor is Bacall, Hepburn and Loren. Hilton is a bimbo.

  8. So I take it this subject is part of the ” . . and beyond!” part of the blog mission statement.

  9. I have to agree with Mr. Henderson on this one. Bacall, Hepburn(both Katherine and Audrey were superb actresses) and Loren had real class. I can’t recall an actress in many years that was in the same league. Sigourney Weaver is an excellent actress, but not really glamorous.
Gywneth Paltrow has some class; I enjoyed her performance in Sky Captain quite a bit. But she’s not a Loren.

  10. Finally, a subject every commenter can agree on! 🙂

Of course, that Jim hasn’t weighed in yet. . .

I’m female, but my vote’s with Katherine Hepburn. She had class!

  11. She’s…attractive. Wouldn’t turn her down, but she’s not nearly my first choice (or even in the top 50 among celebs), either.

But I cannot use the g-word here, no.

“I know someone who said that she wants to be just like paris hilton.”

They want to be famous for being…famous? (As opposed to famous for their acting, singing, dancing, sports…SOMETHING truly entertaining, productive, inspiring or at least interesting.)

  12. Glamor involves an element of mystery, of depth of soul (at least there is a perception that the glamorous person has these qualities). Paris Hilton has has got as much depth and mystery as a department store maniken… or maybe a more apt comparison would be… an inflatable sex doll.

  13. Paris is inconsequential, why people get all wrapped up and excited about her sex life is beyond me. If people put as much effort into getting laid as they do badmouthing her, everyone would be happier. I used to think celebacy only drove men mad, old age has convinced that it’s even worse for women. The war between the sexes started when they ran the whores out of town, you can quote me on that.

  14. Wes,
and she’d never be able to give you a definition, a daffynition, or be able to tell you where to find a dictionary or library.

  15. Sure, she is glamorous and people are forever interested in her. This will probably never change, come what may.

She is quickly barrelling toward 2 million twitter followers and sorry, but she is quite a salesforce to be reckoned with. She is far from stupid.
