  1. I prefer celebrating Siete de Nueve, which is a holiday dedicated to the celebration of Jeri Ryan. 🙂

  2. Scott kinda killed the mood by reminding us of her involvement in Obama’s current reign… 🙁

But I really only said that Siete de Nueve was the day that was actually DEDICATED to celebrating Jeri Ryan. If you want to celebrate her any other day of the year, you’re more than welcome to, just like anyone can celebrate their patriotism on days other than Quatro de Julio. 🙂

  3. Rand,

Of course not (it was her idiot husband…), but if she had not been married to him, then his rather grotesque behavior wouldn’t have been nearly as newsworthy, and hence less likely to be used as a smear. This would have made it tougher to grease the rails for Obama, etc., etc…..

So, in a sense, she does have some responsibility…

  4. After the parking lot at the Hellman’s plant collapsed, they celebrated sinkhole de mayo…

  5. I celebrate it for the first reason, Alan.

Funny thing is, they don’t celebrate it at all in Mexico. In fact, very few Mexicans know what you’re talking about if you ask them about it.

  6. “very few Mexicans know what you’re talking about if you ask them about it.”

That’s cause in America we need an excuse go out drinking every week. Why I see Flag day is coming up, “WooHoo!” *chug chug chug

  7. Did Barry actually call the French “at that time the most fearsome fighting force in the world!?”

Not only that, he called them “a rag-tag band of soldiers & citizens,” not veterans of the Reform Wars, “badly outnumbered and facing impossible odds” (4,000-8,000, with the Mexicans having the advantage of the defensive) , and “defending their country” when the invading French proceeded to take over Mexico, and hold it until 1867.

The man really doesn’t know history, does he? At the very least he needs to hire better advisers…
