Because it will quickly be revealed that their supposedly procedure-only quibbles are in fact objections to the substance — they oppose any methods of controlling immigration that are actually likely to work.
They support only the methods that won’t work — UAVs, “virtual fences,” other technobabble non-solutions — precisely because they won’t work, which is why they have a pass from the Open Borders lobby to support such measures.
Essentially they’re asking the bank robbers what they should do to improve vault security. The bank robbers tell them to leave the vault door open and turn off the alarms and fire the guards, and instead use “smart solutions” to guard the money, like big signs saying “Please don’t take our money.”
Fortunately, polls would indicate that the American people are on to them.
The solution is obvious… they just need to make bigger signs… like the ones that said, “Your stimulus dollars at work.”
If the USA continues upon this self destructive path of neosocialism then we really do need to get off planet ASAP. There is nowhere else left in the world that would work a true free enterprise system!
If you really want to prevent Illegal Economic Immigrants it seems the
easiest patch would be to require all work for hire require a SSN check
that is validated against your I-9. It’s fairly ridiculous, an Employer
must do an I-9 and a W-4 filing, but they are not cross referenced.
If the W-4 blips, the IRS takes forever to notify, and does not notify ICE.
Then require Day Labor needs this also.
The problem is many american industries (Agriculture, Construction, food processing) are addicted to cheap illegal aliens and they are the ones
undermining any substantiative reforms.
