  1. Absolutely brilliant. And it is funny to boot. When are people going to wake up and let Israel be a sovereign country to defend itself as it sees fit?

  2. Yeah, this is so spot on. Thanks again Rand. I may not agree with all you write about, but you have changed my mind on more than a few issues. I have a feeling this video is destined for viral-ness.

  3. Finally! A good use for that annoying music.

Will, you can have a gun, and I’ll attack you with knives and metal pipes – I’m sure you won’t mind and won’t try to protect yourslf. Right?

  4. Excellent!

Sometimes, when you’ve run out of tears, humor is the one thing that keeps you going.

  5. Will, the terrorists and sympathisers on that “peace flotilla” (you know, the one doing a pre-announced blockade run to an area that didn’t need the aid and that has democratically elected a government whose declared aim is the destruction of Israel) are lucky only to have lost nine people instead of 450. Israel would have been perfectly entitled, and correct too IMHO, to have warned off that convoy and when it didn’t turn aside, sunk it with all hands.

I sincerely hope that this mess means Turkey never getting into the EU. Why? Because once it is, there will be no way of stopping all manner of violent Islamist nutters getting into any part of the EU they wish to get to.

  6. So what you’re saying, Will, is that it stopped being fun and games back in 1929?

  7. “It’s all fun and games until nine people are shot to death.”

Depends on who and what the nine people are.

  8. Barbara:

If my superiors ordered me into a position where I had a gun, and you had a knife and metal pipes and attacked me, I would do what I had to do to stay alive.

I would hope that I could shoot you in the legs while you tried to figure out how to kill me while juggling at least three weapons in two hands.

More relevant to the actual events, if I was ordered to fast-rope into a hostile crowd that was apparently trying to kill me, I would do everything I could to stay alive.

That doesn’t mean I would sleep easily afterwards, or enjoy music video parodies on the topic.

  9. I would hope that I could shoot you in the legs while you tried to figure out how to kill me while juggling at least three weapons in two hands.

What an idiotic statement. Why don’t you just shoot the weapons out of their hands? /sarc.

If a group of people are trying to kill me and I have the means of killing them first… they are dead with no remorse.

As far as the song goes, it’s not just humor. It exposes the ‘human aid activists’ for what they really are and does it effectively. We need this to get as much attention as possible. The world itself needs to be mocked for buying the Hamas propaganda. This is an effective tool to do that.

    Momma Theresa indeed.

  10. Will, leg shots are as or more lethal than torso, due to the major arteries in the legs. So basically you said you’d do exactly the same, except you’d have been an idiot about it.

  11. Ken and John:

The Israelis claim that they did, in fact, deliberately aim for their opponents’ legs:

“The soldiers pulled out their handguns and started shooting at the rioters’ legs, a move that ultimately neutralized them.”

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3896796,00.html

There seem to have been quite a few of the protesters shot only in the legs, and none of them died: as opposed to, for example, the ones shot in the back or the back of the head.

But less lethal tactics are harder to execute if you are ordered to drop into a hostile crowd one by one.

  12. Ken writes:

“It exposes the ‘human aid activists’ for what they really are and does it effectively.”

If you thought the flotilla activists were good guys before you saw the video and decided afterwards that they were terrorists and dupes, then it was effective.

Was this the case, or had you already decided?

Do you know anyone that was undecided before and convinced because of it?

On the other hand, can you imagine someone that loathed Hamas before the video but thought less of the Israeli faction that made it afterwards? If you can’t, you need to work to enhance your imagination.

    OK, imagine this video:

    “We are the Knesset
    and we hate babies
If they live in Gaza we say no toys!
    Or coriander, or tasty munches!
Cause Hamas would use them to make missiles!
    That’s what we’re saying
    but really really
    we just hate babies
Because we are the Knesset and we’re evil.

It’s a laugh riot if you’ve already concluded the other side is evil. For everybody else, not so much.

  13. Will, Islamists do that and worse to their children in their schools. The Israelis don’t teach their children to become terrorists.

This video mocks those that are very, very deserving of being mocked. Humor, historical, is very powerful. You’ve heard of Jon Stewart, where much of America gets it’s news?

There are also reports the people on the ferry shot their own people and threw the guns over the side because they want to make Jack the Ripper out of the commandos. Perhaps they were shooting at the IDF but just weren’t being very discriminating. Life being so valuable to them (that’s sarcasm if you are having any trouble seeing it.)

You’re right that different people find different things funny.

This video may not change any minds. I don’t care. It mocks those deserving. That’s good enough.

OTOH, some people may not be paying attention. This video might get them to question their own assumptions because the news continues to refer to the bad guys as peace loving humanitarian aid momma Theresas.
