Helen Thomas And The Liberation

of Israel:

…all this may have a strangely liberating effect on Israel. We know now that whatever it does, the world, or at least its prominent political and media figures, is going to damn it. Its longtime patron, the United States, now sees not much difference between Israel ’s democratic achievement and the autocracies around it, which we are now either subsidizing or courting. As a result, the global censors have lost leverage with Israel, since they have proven to be such laughable adjudicators of right and wrong when Israel is involved.

Israelis should assume by now that whether they act tentatively or strongly, the negative reaction will be the same. Therefore why not project the image of a strong, unapologetic country to a world that has completely lost its moral bearings, and is more likely to respect Israel’s strength than its past concern for meeting an impossible global standard?

I don’t think that she and the other Jew haters realize how much they’ve actually helped their despised Zionist entity.

We could ask ourselves the same. That kind of leadership doesn’t seem to exist anywhere.

  2. I seem to recall someone talking telling his people to “punch back twice as hard.” That would normally be seen as strenght if it wasn’t associated with union thugs and political hacks.

When someone strikes Israel, they should take the advice of Sean Connery’s character in “The Untouchables” and go all Chicago Way on them. Maybe Obama would understand that.

“Someone pulls a knife, you pull a gun. They put one of yours in the hospital, you put one of theirs in the morgue. That’s the Chicago way.”

  3. It is good to see that some in the media are starting to recognise the blatant racism and double standards they are holding against Israel. Of course this was in NRO, which is hardly the main stream, but it should start the news cycle at Fox and eventually make the rounds of the pundits.

Yeah, but look what happened to the Sean Connery “Malone” character in The Untouchables. A guy came his way “bringing a knife to a gunfight”, but that was just a diversion followed up by the Albert Nitti character in the movie, Capone’s enforcer and designated assassin, bringing a Thompson submachine gun to trump Malone’s handgun.

Israel needs to be one step ahead of Malone, and in the recent boarding in enforcement of the blockcade, their guys got ambushed, much in the style of how the Nitti character was willing to sacrifice one of his underlings to “get the drop” on Malone.
