They all cheered Holly Hunter in ‘Broadcast News.’ They would never try to create the news… Holly showed us how morally reprehensible that would be.
The Tea Party protest pale in comparison to protests during the Bush years in terms of nasty signs, use of Hitler, and calls for violence. It is shocking to go back and look at the signs and interviews with the protesters. I seem to recall the Bush year’s protests getting lots of favorable coverage in the media but they never showed the signs on tv. Zombie has some excellent comparisons at PJM.
