  1. VDH hits one out of the park once again. There are many many great lines in the article, but this one is my favorite:

After 20 months, it is time for the president to get a life and quit the “heads you lose/tails I win” attitude about presidential responsibility

  2. Rand,

[[[this gang is making me miss the competence and international vigor of Jimmy Carter.]]]

The question is who will be Reagan for the 2012?

  3. I’d don’t and won’t miss Bush. He and his predecessors, not to mention various Congresses, have set the stage for a spending mad, uncontrolled government.

  4. I liked Bush then, and I like him still better now, when he has displayed the same grace and courage as an ex-President I thought he exhibited as President. When I see him in the news, it’s because he’s quietly gone down to DFW airport to personally greet and thank returning troops from Iraq, or he’s still making surprise visits to the wounded at Walter Reed, while his worthless crybaby successor works on his golf game.

I can’t even imagine the self-discipline it must take to say not one word about the BP follies, nor about the cynicism of Team Obama on Iraq or their incompetence in Afghanistan.

  5. Wodun, I think history will eventually vindicate much of GWB’s terms as President. Perhaps the most amazing thing is that Obama’s incompetence would rehabilitate Bush’s reputation so quickly

  6. I can’t even imagine the self-discipline it must take to say not one word…

Bush knows what it is like to be on the receiving end of a loud mouth, moronic, ex-president plus he knows that his not saying anything speaks volumes about his character, especially in comparison to the character of his (democrat) predecessors.

  7. Flying century series interceptors and surviving speaks volumes as well. Those were not user-friendly aircraft.

  8. I’m sorry, but I don’t miss Bush yet. He’s done a lot of lousy stuff on his watch including setting things up for Obama.
