Advertising Fraud

If Barack Obama were a commercial product, his campaign staff would be liable for a false-advertising lawsuit:

On the intelligence claims, no proof has ever surfaced that any of the Obama brainiac hoopla was anything other than gratuitous accolades granted via affirmative action and white-liberal racial guilt. No transcripts. No professional articles. Nothing. Nada. From kindergarten through law school, not a single shred of evidence has ever surfaced to show that Barack Obama was ever even a good student, much less the brainy wizard of his advertisers’ imaginations. Since the candidate openly admitted to lots of high-school and college drug use, plenty of hoops-shooting, but nary a blip of organized sports rigor, it’s entirely within the realm of probability that those transcripts have been buried with the same malevolent intent as tobacco companies who deep-sixed their own negative research.

Tsk. Tsk. That would be one mighty big class action suit if politicians had to follow the same credibility rules they set for business.

Then, let’s take those godlike claims. The ones to end the rising of the seas and heal all the sick. Well, anyone who bought that overstuffed load of narcissistic hype is a candidate for the evolutionary throwback pail, but still, it was a heap of fraudulent advertising, the likes of which would put any American business on the bankruptcy auction block in a Chicago minute. The fact that the candidate did nothing to discourage such over-hyping garbage and the fact that he even indulged it to the nth degree would make him lawsuit-fodder in anyone’s book.

It would be nice if we could sue the media outlets that refused to vet him as well.

  1. I can’t help but wonder at the gullibility of those Obama voters. Seriously, did they believe he was qualified for the job? How many of them bought into that hopey-changey lightworker crap?

  2. Some of us, voting in the Democratic Party Primary, bought into “anybody, please, anybody who isn’t Hillary Clinton.”

If the USG were a corporation people like Shelby, Nelson and Hutchison would be in jail…

  4. “Some of us, voting in the Democratic Party Primary, bought into “anybody, please, anybody who isn’t Hillary Clinton.””

And now you know why “anybody but x” is such a bad idea.

People like Dingell, Rangel, Dodd and Frank should be in jail.

Many people are voting Tea Party for the same reason. The true test is what happens after the election and whether the Tea Party people hold their candidates accountable.

Obama was certainly presented as tabula rasa but nearly all of the liberals strongly approve of his performance and the ones that don’t, want him to be more liberal.

The independents voted against the Republicans in 2008 and they will vote against the Democrats in 2012 but who can say where they will go in 2012?

So much so that that you voted for Nobody instead.

  8. I’m not a conspiracy nut, but…

I’ve never been able to figure out how NO ONE has an old grade book, report card, stack of work sheets, semester record for this clown!! I’ve got friends and family who are teachers, and most of them NEVER get rid of their master grade books. Some of them going back 40 years are still around.

Given Obama’s age we should be able to see if he was at least good at dusting erasers in 4th or 5th grade, spoke English in SE Asian Islamic schools, tried out for “The Wiz” in HS, or had good attendance or attendance problems in college, if just ONE person would come forward with a grade record!

    Like I said, I’m not a conspiracy nut, but…
it seems a little “orchestrated” that none of Obama’s teachers / professors / schools has come forward with any records, from any level of schooling, from any period of his life. Everyone he ever came in contact with is a supporter?

Seriously, nobody wants to out this guy as being the slow kid with the lazy eye?

  9. “Seriously, nobody wants to out this guy as being the slow kid with the lazy eye?”

That’s why they have Alvin Greene there to set the bar even lower than that.

  10. “I’m not a conspiracy nut, but…”

Me neither, however… (and this is simply curiosity, ok?)

    1) Why did WTC-3 fall down when nothing actually hit it?

    2) Why are there NO photos or videos of the plane that hit the Pentagon?

    3) Really, WTF was that spiral light over Denmark last year?

    🙂

  11. The spiral light has been adequately explained, hasn’t it? When a SHADO missile hits a UFO it typically spirals out of control spewing smoke and flame before crashing or exploding. Thus the spiral light. Given the relatively low altitude, I’d figure Skydiver was involved.

  12. Re “Mad Men.” I watch it with awed fascination. My father’s side of the family were all in advertising and public relations in the 1960s. This show is so dead on, in absolutely every respect, that I can’t look away. There’s no nostalgia, however…it’s more like watching a train wreck recreated in high def.
