  1. I don’t know if there is anything quite as delicious as seeing your enemies consume themselves. OK, a nice filet mignon with sauteed onions and a full-bodied red wine is in the ballpark.

  2. After Behar flambe they’re gonna need a whole lotta Tums – something like that will repeat on ya big-time.

  3. “Fitzpatrick told Schiller the remark was ‘sadly inconsistent with NPR’s own stellar record of reporting fairly, accurately and compassionately on issues related to mental illness.'”

  4. Delicious indeed, but not entirely unprecedented – Robespierre died by guillotine, for example.

One small quibble – a petard is/was a small bomb. Engineers that were slow in getting away after lighting the things wer said to be “hoist _with_ (not _on_) their own petards.”

And I’m sure if you polled said engineers hoisted by petards in one manner or another they’d probably not care what preposition you used.

  6. Marcos,

[[[but not entirely unprecedented – Robespierre died by guillotine, for example.]]]

Even more appropriate, Dr. Guillotine died by the guillotine…

  7. If ANY NPR employee is actually seeing a psychiatrist they may now be able to successfully sue their employer and potentially get some damages.

    That would be delicious.
