  1. What a fucking retard.

I will make this turd a deal. He refrains from commenting on firearms technology, a subject cleary beyond his expertise if not his ability to comprehend, and I will refrain from commenting on Bioethics.

There is a saying: “Stay in your lane”.

Singer needs to stay in his.

Frankly, I am forced to question the validity and worth of any work he has produced.

  2. Singer is a well known tool. The fact that he is published in Time is more a critique of a POS magazine than anything else.

  3. It’s hard to say anything about Peter Singer that doesn’t lead, inexorably, into overheated talk of hemlock-based remedies for wayward philosophy.

But really, what does Singer care about the NRA having blood on its hands? He’s on the record as having zero respect for human life outside of a postgraduate seminar.

  4. Hodl up, K — did you see who #16 is? The Grand Dragon of Internet trolls.

According to wiki: “Time magazine listed the Daily Kos in its “Most Overrated Blogs” section. Despite the listing, Time magazine readers named the Daily Kos the second best blog.”

So…now you know who still reads Time.

  5. If Singer really is a bioethicist rather than just a academician with an opinion on bioethical issues, he should know that stating an opinion like the “NRA has blood on its hands, clearly” requires justification. A real ethicist would be obligated to provide a rational argument for why that assertion is true. Instead, he claims that the shooter wouldn’t have killed as many people, if he had to work a bit harder to find a gun. That doesn’t make it so.

  6. Singer is, of course, famous for advocating euthanasia for disabled infants and the elderly, since they may be more of a burden on their parents or other caregivers than their “utility” can provide. One might ask what he would have done about Jared Loughner…or Rep. Giffords, should she turn out to be brain damaged.

Needless to say, I don’t care to be lectured to by him, on civility or any other subject.

  7. It was just a slip of the tongue. What he meant to say is that our founding fathers and all those states that ratified the 2nd amendment have blood on their hands.

Did he just blood libel over 100 million people?

  8. The whole “civility schtick” is just a tactic by the socialist powerstructure to shutdown its opponents’ speech. Any chump politician who uses civility is asking for his ass to be kicked at the ballot box by any disciple of Saul Alinsky.

  9. I am not surprised that Peter Singer supports gun bans. Can’t carry out forced euthanasia on “defective” people if there is armed resistance against his jackbooted thugs.

I also noticed something, Chris Gerrib is no longer putting posts on this blog calling for civility after President Obama threw all the Blood Libeling Leftists under the bus. Is he going to apologize for being an Obamatron?

  10. I want his job. I wouldn’t have to think, do any research and people without a clue would fawn all over me.

  11. umm.. Singer doesn’t actually advocate euthanasia of disabled or infirm. Actually he’s an annoying animal rights advocate who equates human rights with animal rights. He says we euthanize disabled and infirm animals so we should do the same to humans. Don’t agree? Then maybe you should rethink your opinion of disabled or infirm animals.

Of course, the only sensible response is: you’re a douche. Humans a special, get over it.

  12. The whole “civility schtick” is just a tactic by the socialist powerstructure to shutdown its opponents’ speech.

It’s known as the “call to civility”, and it’s a red herring. Of course, the whole article is based on the false premise that Loughner was motivated by anything more than his own schizophrenia. Time was hasty to push their narrative, but now that everyone knows the truth, it’s their “Dewey Defeats Truman.”

  13. I just do not understand how jobs are going to be created when a large number of USA based companies are spending their money offshore. Consider GE as an example. GE’s newest attempts to construct aircraft engines for the Chinese will result in them passing over their blueprints for the engines they build. A different corporation, Yum Brands, is collecting over 50% of its profits from outside the United States. Until trade agreements are altered, more job losses is likely.
