  1. Ken,
let me get to you first. I think you’re a stupid, jerk.

Guys like you PROVE to the left that gun owners / conservatives / Tea Partiers ARE racist, dangerous, murders just waiting for an opportunity to kill them. Good job, numb nuts.

I’ve never answered up on any of the other idiocy you spouted or when others called you MOBY, this time I just couldn’t ignore you.

But MOBY is too mild. He’s a typical, mind numbed, vegan, artist, who lives in a shell and probably doesn’t know anyone who is NOT like him. His friends allow him his “Jesus Thing’ because they KNOW he won’t push it on them, it’s just his ‘thing’ right now. Moby really isn’t dangerous and WTF he might find Buddha next, being a vegan and all! He thinks death is better than violence. And not too oddly he seems willing to allow others to protect his right to say so.

You, on the other hand advocate violence is if it’s OK to convey threats simply because you can! Moby is out there when he peddles his tripe. He stands by it.

But you, you are an anon, troll hiding behind Al Gores inter webs, pecking out stupidity from a $10 Wal-Mart keyboard that makes you feel safe. You are secure in the knowledge that it takes time and resources to track YOU down and thus you feel free to blather about violence. Unfortunately, the left keys on potentially violent @$$holes like you, the same way the key on Fred Phelps as a ‘typical’ right-wing Christian. You cause all of us to constantly say, “I know what you read…but I’M not like that…”. Do you talk trash at work or in bars? I know the answer, it doesn’t happen.

What you really need is someone to do to you what you advocate for others. Posting that stuff here should garner you a kick in the @$$. I expect you’d no more fight back than any other loud mouthed jerk.

What a slimy little, cringing d1ckw33d you must be in person.

  2. BTW, I didn’t advocate violence. Jim Shankman most certainly did. But you instinctively go after the conservative, in your haste to fellate our leftist overlords in the hope that they’ll come after you last.

But fine, let’s just let the Left attack women, OK? If we don’t we might be cringing dickwthreethreeds.

  3. BTW, I don’t talk trash at work and bars. I just state my case and don’t back down from it. If I actually encountered someone like Jim Shankman who had the balls to say what he says in public, I’d get in his face. But people like him don’t have the balls. Instead, they post their shit on the Web, at which point people reading it mistakenly think they have the balls and admire them for it. Every time you let them get away with this crap, their already immense power multiplies.

  4. I’ve never answered up on any of the other idiocy you spouted or when others called you MOBY, this time I just couldn’t ignore you.

What does MOBY stand for/mean? I’ve heard it used here a few times but context and Google searches haven’t helped.

  5. A moby is a type of “concern troll” who goes on conservative websites pretending to be a conservative or Republican and spouts all sorts of insane nonsense so “moderate” types (and leftists who read conservative websites) will think all conservatives are like that. See this set of definitions at Urban Dictionary.

  6. I forgot to add — the term “concern troll” comes from a certain type of troll who puts comments in conservative websites that start off like this: “As a Concerned Christian Republican, I back Barack Obama for president because” blah blah blah. This is a type of amateur psy-ops meant to make it look like Democratic candidates have the backing of “Concerned Christian Republicans” and the like, the idea being that actual Christian Republicans will be persuaded to back Democrats.

  7. Listen, I’m sorry if I go overboard. It’s just that I feel incredible frustration seeing the Left ALWAYS win on EVERY issue. They are so evil they make Hitler seem like Mother Teresa, yet they always win and are beloved, while we, who are decent people, are shunned and hated.

When I was a child my dad actually discussed the possibility of assassinating George McGovern if he were elected, to prevent him from turning the USA into a Communist nation under Soviet control. (Don’t bother alerting the FBI; he died two decades ago). Yet the Left today is so far beyond that in absolute EVIL that we need to DO SOMETHING.

I’m not saying that “something” has to be violence. If anything, I’m trying to be extreme enough to change the definition of “moderate” in a rightward–and more proactive–direction.

Every time one of these vermin attacks the innocent we hear the same non-response on the Right: “Imagine a Republican did it…” How about we STOP IMAGINING and deal with reality. It ISN’T Republicans doing it, and we need to stop the Left from doing it as well.

These people are violent, evil Bolsheviks who are very close to getting enough power to EXTERMINATE us.

So the question is: what are we going to do to stop them?

Not “why do they do it,” or “why are they hypocrites.”

Merely, “WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TO STOP THEM?”

I say this in sorrow rather than anger. If there is some solution short of war, I really would like to hear it. But let’s stop “imagining” and deal proactively with the real world, OK?

I hope I have been more reasonable here, and that some of you will respond in kind.

  8. Ken, I come from a long line of folks that’ve been stepped-on by life’s “winners”, so I know where you’re coming from. Two things:

    1. Stay strong, keep the faith, keep your powder dry.

    2. Have you ever considered that you’re simply barking up the wrong tree? I mean, trying to organize political solutions up-to-and-including violence to combat the Gramscians on a blog by and for rocket scientists plumbers, engineers and assorted hanger-ons? I mean, it feels like you’re here because the produce aisle is empty at your local Food-4-Less and thus you’ve run out of folks to enlist. There are…much better places to organize…

  9. I bark up this tree partly out of respect. Nothing will ever be accomplished by organizing a bunch of drugstore revolutionaries. They may get foul-mouthed when they’ve had too much beer, but ultimately they are impotent, because they are just generically unhappy and don’t understand the political scene. When push comes to shove, they can just as easily be swayed to attack the good guys instead of the bad guys.

Besides, I actually like rockets and space; I just can’t ever imagine them ever catching on as long as the Bolsheviks hold sway in our nation. OTOH, I can easily see, after crushing the Left and destroying their movement, that we could have a really beautiful future in which an individual who didn’t like his government could just relocate to outside of human space.

Imagine, if you will, a future in which our worries are less about avoiding a dystopian Communist future, and more about calculating delta-v for a Moon trip, or the cost-benefit ratio for mining some asteroid.

BTW, that’s another problem with the Right: a very high proportion of our base believe as a matter of fundamentalist Christian theology that there is no hope, and that evil will triumph up until Christ comes in a eschatological “deus ex machina” to make everything perfect. That deep pessimism disheartens conservatives and puts us at a disadvantage.

I would much rather conservatism be about restoring the glory days of 19th century captains of industry than it be about tuning in, turning on (to Christ), and dropping out.

  10. “Listen, I’m sorry if I go overboard. It’s just that I feel incredible frustration seeing the Left ALWAYS win on EVERY issue. They are so evil they make Hitler seem like Mother Teresa, yet they always win and are beloved, while we, who are decent people, are shunned and hated.”

Thanks for proving Der Schtumpy’s point, Captain Hyperbole.

  11. Yeah, question whether something as silly as Der Schtumpy is my name. That’s what you have issue with, my internet commenting handle?

Are you like Elvis or Cher? So universally known you just go by Ken?

  12. Repost of my comment from Althouse on subject:

Look, you folks in Wisconsin need to learn to fend for yourself. I mean, Obama is the President of the United States. He has bigger issues to work that affect the US and the world. A rebellion in Libya, a devastating earthquake in Japan, and Louisville losing in the first round. He made the right call on Richmond and Gonzaga, and who can blame him for the sentimental nudge to Michigan (St) over California (UCLA).

  13. Too late, the Left just won.

    http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/118242109.html

I guess all that awful violence worked out for them, didn’t it?

But that’s OK. We’ve got 60-year-old former McGovern voters who claim the Left has betrayed their principles.

Meanwhile, the average person sees Shankman’s threats and his talk about how they all screw each other, and thinks “YOUTHFUL VIGOR!!!” and wants a piece of the violent, chaotic sexual action.

Do you not understand what I am trying to tell you?

  14. Ken, the workman is known by his tools. If you advocate violence, except only in response to violence, then you are no conservative, and certainly no lover of liberty. Those of us who love liberty prize the absence of physical coercion above almost all things. We are willing to accept a great deal of lack of results in the world — the continuing presence of poverty, say, or disease, crime, fraud, all the sorrows of human folly — in order to cherish individual liberty. It’s the other side who believe noble ends justify any means.

If you really think you hold conservative or liberty-loving values, then get a grip. Being one of those people means you are committed to personal responsibility, which includes self-discipline.

  15. If being conservative means letting the Left win, then you are right. I am no conservative.

Personally, I wear the term AMERICAN far more proudly than the term conservative.

By the way, the other side don’t have noble ends. They are in it to grab for themselves. And they are successful every single time.

    Oh, and this:

Those of us who love liberty prize the absence of physical coercion above almost all things.

Save that for your Libertarian Party meetings. Coercion worked just fine in Chile as a means of eliminating the Communist underclass there. Pinochet was proof that dictatorships need not be evil.

  16. Ken, the only thing I understand is you sound like the very leftists you claim to be fighting with your “Revolution NOW!” shtick, and you’re not going to be winning any converts here by aping Bill Ayers.

Perhaps you’d be happier on Stormfront, or one of those “militia” sites.

  17. Then come up with something better.

Since you seem convinced that the Left always wins and always will, the first thing I would suggest is stop watching network news and stop reading NYT, WaPo and USA Today.

  18. When it comes to Shankman, just let the cops and the DA deal with it. File his name and the commune away with the tag that they are D-Bags. Whenever they pop up in the future you can bring up this letter, discrediting any peaceful protest they are currently pushing.

  19. So universally known you just go by Ken?

    Imagine how I feel!

Ken, you want to be one of the good guys. We get it.

You want action. We get that too.

But then you write things that are off the charts and embarrassing. I’ve been known to do that myself occasionally. But you do it regularly which makes people question your maturity.

Zeal is a good thing. Indiscriminate statements are not.

  20. Ken,

We have to be strong enough to take a punch before we punch back. It isn’t fair but that is the way it is. I am not going to be the match that sets the country on fire. I am hoping we can avoid that outcome if at all possible and peacable measures will resolve things.

I am comforted by the fact that one of ours is worth ten of theirs if TSHTF. I really don’t lose alot of sleep over this.

  21. I know, I have gotten you two mixed-up. Mabey Ken could add an intitial even if it isn’t a real one.

  22. Ethan: I couldn’t care less about how mean Pinochet was to the Communists. Actually, I take that back: the worse he treated Communists, the better. Were you aware that he came to power by overthrowing a pro-Cuban Communist, and that he transformed Chile from a traditional crony capitalist state into a modern free economy?

  23. I have to admit that I rather like the way Pinochet dealt with the Communists in his country.

In my book, people only have the rights that they’re willing to extend to others. Communists are the enemies of all humanity in that regard, and as such they have and deserve no rights except the right to a shallow grave.

  24. “I have to admit that I rather like the way Pinochet dealt with the Communists in his country.”

B-but he made their mamas cry! Bono wrote a sad song about the commie mommas walking around in a circle and crying in some square in Santiago or someplace and everything!

Also, Pinochet wore one of those big dictator military caps all the time. Unlike Che Guevara who wore a casual yet sporty guerilla outfit and also Fought For The People™. Therefore Pinochet is teh Evol.

  25. Ken,

It is true that the Left have won a lot more than they have lost over the last 50 years, but the momentum is all against them now. If it seems otherwise to you, then you are either too young to have adequate perspective on the situation or you haven’t been been paying much attention.

The right to keep and bear arms, for example, was in danger of disappearing 20 years ago, but is now in good shape and steadily getting better owing to incremental victories against the liberal gun-grabber establishment that have been won over the past two decades. More such victories are reported almost daily.

Now one of the core mechanisms that allow the ideological Left in this country to punch far above their own weight – public sector unionism – is being widely questioned, curtailed or even eliminated. There is also serious pushback in the works many places against another of the Left’s core mechanisms of power maintenance – voter fraud. Without the ability to steal from the public to support their political activities, then cheat at the ballot box to ensure their continued hegemony, the Democratic Party would be reduced to a 20% party nationally and would have difficulty electing anyone to office outside of its core coastal urban enclaves.

The Left is not more dangerous now than formerly, it is less so because it is increasingly under siege and on the defensive. Of course the noise level goes up under such circumstances; when the ox is actually being gored, it can be expected to bellow most loudly.

These are good times! Even better ones are coming!

  26. If being conservative means letting the Left win, then you are right. I am no conservative.

Again, you’re focussing on ends. But the focus of morality and values must be on means. Are you willing to commit murder, mayhem, lie, cheat and steal, in order to “not let the Left win?” Any means will do, if it advances your goal? Then you’re an unethical immoral scum, and no one should pay you the least attention.

If not — well, where are the lines drawn? What methods are permissable and which beyond the pale, in your struggle to “not let the Left win?” That defines your values. That says who you are.

Pinochet was proof that dictatorships need not be evil.

No, he was just proof that sometimes a lesser evil is to be preferred to a greater evil. I don’t see how that advances your argument.

  27. Andrea,
didn’t Pinochet also disappear a lot of people who he just THOUGHT were Communists?

And although I don’t like the idea of kids growing up in Communist households, torturing children so they’ll rat out I mommy and daddy is beyond any kind of human explanation. And like his Nazi escapee teachers, Pinochet had the idiot idea that photographing his torture and execution system was somehow the thing to do. So there is evidence of that torturing of children too.

  28. I’m sure he sucked. I’m just tired of the lefties squeaking “Pinochet! Pinochet!” every time someone dares complain about one of their heroes or ideas. By the way, wasn’t he just another flavor of socialist? I mean, fascists aren’t exactly admirers of the free market or anything else free any more than commies are. Gosh, remember when to be a “liberal” meant to be against both the communists and right-wing fascists like Pinochet?

  29. By the way, wasn’t he just another flavor of socialist?

    No.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_of_Chile

Immediately following the Chilean coup of 1973, Augusto Pinochet was made aware of a confidential economic plan known as El Ladrillo [6] (literally, “the brick”), so called because the report was “as thick as a brick”. The plan had been quietly prepared in May 1973 [7] by economists who opposed Salvador Allende’s government, with the help from a group of economists the press were calling the Chicago Boys, because they were predominantly alumni of the University of Chicago. This document contained the backbone of what would later on become the Chilean economic policy,[7] recommending a set of economic reforms that included deregulation and privatization. Among others, they privatized the pension system,[8] state industries, and banks, and reduced taxes. Pinochet’s stated aim was to “make Chile not a nation of proletarians, but a nation of entrepreneurs.[4]

I’d say that America needs a Pinochet, except that America isn’t Chile. What we really need is 100 million Pinochets, patriotic men and women united in grim patriotic determination, just as the Left are now united in orgies of sex and drugs.

  30. I would take you seriously, Ken, if it wasn’t for the kneejerk “Left sex drugs raping puppies and children the homosexuals are poisoning the soil!” stuff that you come out with. Everyone knows that most modern-day liberals are too neurotic to even have sex. That’s why so many of them are so pissed off all the time.

  31. Their sexual obsession almost cost us our 2nd Amendment rights during the Clinton regime aka the First Soviet Occupation aka the Burning Times (I’m referring specifically to the incineration of the babies at Waco and yes, I’m borrowing their own phrase here). They told people that gun owners had small penises, and since the people had been snared through the Monica Lewinsky fiasco into believing sex was all that mattered, they jumped on the anti-gun bandwagon, following the propaganda of Bill Maher, the Goebbels of his time, cackling that it was cool and sexy (the only measure of rightness in their vile, perverted souls) to set the children of small-dicked gun owners on fire because sex was all that mattered.

I am still emotionally scarred from the Burning Times. Yes, the Bush and even the Obama administrations have taken a step back from gun control. But I still can’t look at anyone anymore without thinking, “Did you support Clinton’s Auschwitz-like gun policy?”

I realize a lot of people have “rethought” their views on guns, just as the German people “rethought” Hitler. Oddly, many Jews still didn’t like them very much. And I don’t like a populace that would be willing to kill 100 million people because all the beautiful people said they had small wanks.

  32. Damn…that last post seemed grassy-knoll even by my standards.

Sorry, sometimes I get in weird moods.

  33. I picked that term consciously. The Left uses the mythical Burning Times to justify persecution of Christians, so I’m throwing their term right back in their faces. The Clinton regime were real Burning Times. Beautiful children were incinerated by order of General Secretary Clinton, and the excuse given is that they were uncool, square, sexless religious fucks.

  34. Well, since only pagans use it, maybe you should find a pagan forum and throw it at them there. Here is just sort of lies on the floor. Now maybe if you found a way to work “skyclad” into the conversation…

  35. For some reason, Andrea, I am reminded of the old joke: If you smoke after sex, maybe you should slow down.

  36. didn’t Pinochet also disappear a lot of people who he just THOUGHT were Communists?

I think a lot of people are Communists.
