  1. I see the Sixties New Left legacy pretty much everywhere in today’s democratic party. Ideologically, The Chicago convention and the McGovern candidacy pretty much formed the Continental Divide. Since then nearly every major Democratic party presidential candidate (except possibly Bill Clinton, who managed to conceal it) has pretty much imbibed the philosophical boulliabase of class-warfare rhetoric, stupid economics and State-cultism that passes for “liberalism” these days.

  2. You can lay a lot of recent American political history at the door of the media – particularly Hollywood. Where were the movies/TV shows which showed the new left for the rabid totalitarian jerks that they were? Where were the movies/TV shows which explored and documented the Stalinist/Maoist genocides? When have the progressives been made to pay for their racist ideological forebears?

I was in college during the student riots and watched the leaders up close and personal. It seemed clear to me that if they managed to get in power, American liberty would be on life support. Unfortunately, that prediction has been borne out.
