Matty’s occasional moments of intellectual growth are just proof of how pernicious a modern elite education is.  Thank God he never took an economic course at Harvard, or even poli sci, it makes him far more endurable than Ezra Klein.  He actually tries to think, but he has only the slightest training when it cones to critical thinking, but at least he tries.  His obsession with land use restrictions is kind of magical, within a few years he will be to the right of Dave Weigel and Wilikinson, given enough time, he will soon be a full blown apostate.

    Remember he just turned 30, some day he may accidentally read James Burnham.
