  1. Once the monthly temperature data is collected and processed, it is placed in a public computer file for immediate access by atmospheric scientists in the U.S. and abroad.

    What a concept.

  2. In other news: Senate passes bill with House Republican pipeline amendment!

Sierra Club gets its shorts in a knot: ““It’s bulls—-,” said Sierra Club President Michael Brune. “This is no way to run a government. We’ve got Republicans in Congress who are willing to hold the entire government hostage simply to give a Christmas present to industry.””

  3. The model’s are in line with observation, the Hadley A2 scenario model being a good match with observation, that model projects warming of about 3.5C by 2100. While the article you link to is headed “Thirty-three Year Temperature Update – Well Below Computer Model Predictions”, the contents of the article makes no such claim.
It does point out that the UAH lower tropospheric trend is slightly lower than the surface measurement trend, but ignores the RSS measurements, which are in line with the surface measurement trends, RSS and UAH are derived from the same raw satellite data.

    1. One wonders if the Hadley A2 scenario model would be an even better projection, if they dropped the predicted temperature a little. It’s worth remembering that this prediction comes from a group, the Met Office, that benefits from exaggerating global warming trends.

  4. “It does point out that the UAH lower tropospheric trend is slightly lower than the surface measurement trend, but ignores the RSS measurements, which are in line with the surface measurement trends, RSS and UAH are derived from the same raw satellite data.”

Well, that is certainly reassuring, that two different “measurements” can be extracted from the same raw data.

  5. You can always rely on one climate dementer or another claiming that one of their many “scenarios” was right after all. Andrew W must have been rostered on here today.
