  1. “Who you gonna call?”

    “SpaceGuard!”

*cue the Police Academy theme* (No, I don’t know why that’s the one that always pops in my head…)

  2. Finally a problem a majority think he can handle. Sad that it’s a fictional problem. Come to think of it most of the problems the left want to solve are fictional.

  3. All of the lefts problems are fictional. THAT’S THE PROBLEM. It’s just like the juvenile thinking of the communist manifesto. People do not age in the communist manifesto. They are all part of static classes. Accept that as your foundation and everything you build on it is horseshit.

  4. Gee, that is easy. Nick Fury at S.H.I.E.L.D. 🙂

They did a pretty good job stopping the last one…

  5. Really, given the technology that would be needed to cross interstellar space the odds of humanity stopping an extraterrestrial attack would be about the same as the Spartans stopping the Marines from landing and occupying Sparta.

The only hope humanity has for surviving such an attack will be when we have Asimov Habitats in the Outer Solar System and then hope that a few of those habitats will be able to hide out in the Kupier Belt.

  6. Too many variables to analyze the problem properly. The only thing we can do is to expand and discover new technology as quickly as possible ourselves until the time comes. We need to be able to observe the universe better. Hopefully we will contact them before they can contact us. Historically the people which have been discovered have faired quite worse than the ones doing the discovering. The best you can hope is to either be China (too large to mess with) or Japan (too small and distant to bother with).
