   Call me a skeptic, but if this was global warming, wouldn’t larger areas be ablaze. I mean, the sci guy said this is what it looks like, but as large an area as this fire covered, there is more area with vegetation. I guess the issue was more local than global.

   While the alarmists make a huge deal out of this summer’s unprecedented heat wave, I’m remembering the record-breaking hurricane year season of 2005, and how flabbergasted people were when 2006 was an unusually quiet year.

   Global warming is for people who don’t understand statistics — particularly the concept of “outlier.”
