  1. Agreed regarding the myths on display.

    The only three foods on that list that I do think are anywhere near healthy are eggs, peanut butter, and coffee.

    However, regarding peanut butter, I no longer eat it (the store bought stuff is often full of junk anyway.). I found a better, much tastier alternative; almond butter.

        I just looked up almonds, and they seem better in that regard. The ratio isn’t good, but they contain less Omega 6’s in total.

        The omega 6 omega 3 ratio issue is one I really ought to pay more attention to, because I don’t eat seafood (allergy) which is where most people get most of their omega 3’s. I’m low-carb, so enriched bread and pasta are out.

        Hrmm, I just looked up a list of high omega-3 foods, and noticed flaxseed is high. I didn’t know that, and I eat a lot of it (It’s one of the few grains low enough in carbs for me to use), so that’s good news. Same goes for chia seeds.
