  1. They declare him smart because he articulates what they believe … which presumes they are smart for believing it.

  2. Nixon had his guys arrested burglarizing the DNC headquarters.
So far noone from the Obama administration has been
arrested doing anything third rate like that.

    1. If the press were doing its job, there would be many arrests.

Are you comfortable with a press that has suspended its duty to be objective? If so, you are an embarrassment to this nation.

    2. I don’t think this is the type of defense you want to be throwing up.

“Look how smart Obama is. There isn’t a paper trial to tie him to giving a stand down order in Benghazi or ordering the IRS to persecute people off his enemies list.”

    3. Obama could commit the Whitehouse burglary with his entire entourage along. Placed on the daily itinerary, SS checking for problems, waltz in, do the deed, stop for a meal, and waltz out …

… And the press would respond by asking if the meals live up to their reputation.

      1. You have to remember that, to dn-guy, “Il Dufe” looks like a genius.

Of course, to dn-guy, that kid with the banjo from DELIVERANCE looks like a genius.

  3. Just to keep this nonpartisan, Bill Clinton is a smart guy. He’s totally political, practically amoral, and has other flaws, but he’s clearly intelligent. I’m no fan of his presidency or of him personally, but I’ll concede that.

While Obama must have some intellectual gifts to have gotten through college and law school, I really haven’t seen any sparks of brilliance, and he doesn’t seem to have an ounce of practical sense. I also have never understood the view of him as a great speaker. He’s not.

    1. I gotta give Bill Clinton respect as well…when giving a speech to Congress on his health care plan, he discovered as he took the podium that his team had accidentally loaded the wrong speech into the teleprompter. He winged the speech he intended to give for the seven or eight minutes it took his crew to get everything straightened out.

Obama is very good at soaring rhetoric reading a script. There are a few examples on Youtube of Obama speaking contemporaneously, and in that regard he is positively awful.

    2. “and he doesn’t seem to have an ounce of practical sense.”

I don’t know. Obama deserves a lot of credit for turning an election that should have been about his handling of the economy and foreign policy blunders into a crusade against the racists who want to ban tampons. That was very sharp politically even if it has had horrendous effects on the country.

      1. I think that says more about Romney and the GOP than about Obama. They simply would not beat the man up about the domestic situation, the scandals, or the foreign policy screw-ups. Romney, as crappy as he was, probably would’ve won if he’d kept attacking on these issues in the debates. Really weird how much they laid off of Obama–not wanting to look mean, I suppose.

        1. “They simply would not beat the man up about the domestic situation, the scandals, or the foreign policy screw-ups. ”

Ahh but that doesn’t matter because Obama made the election about other issues. Romney talked about the economy all the time but Obama talked about banning tampons and bringing back slavery. No matter what Romney chose to do, Obama would have stuck with his strategy and the media would have continued to act as his PR department.

I do agree that Republicans don’t do a good job on fending off the Democrat’s racist attacks. You can’t let slander like that go and expect that it wont affect your image.

      2. I think Obama has a viewpoint as to how to run elections and he puts a staff together which understands and executes that viewpoint quite well. I don’t know how much of the election strategy Obama generates but it’s probably some.

  4. Given his all out disinterest in actually governing,, a person has to ask this question:

Is Omarxi a mildly sociopathic, rather than a psychopathic version of the late and unlamented King Joffrey from “Game of Thones?” After all, in the episode where he was assasinated, King Joffrey tried out a sword given to him as a wedding gift by chopping up a history book. Instead of chopping up governent reports with a sword, does Omarxi simply forget to click save when he reads something that conflicts with his worldview-if he reads anything at all. Omarxi’s behavior also explains why something as capitalist as Commercial Crew managed to survive his attention. He was probably thinking of his next round of golf or Martha Vinyard’s vacation when one of his advisers mentioned it.

    1. Obama does enjoy punishing his enemies but he is a long way from being Joffrey. Its not like Obama is throwing people in prison in the name of politics. Oh wait…

  5. The problem is no adults available (anywhere) to provide a counter example.

Ronald Reagan still makes hash out of them. I say we just dig him up and run snippets of his various speeches.

    1. Reagan’s speeches are precisely applicable to what’s going on today…it’s as if he’s here, now talking about our present situation. The point being that the Prog/Lib/Dem/Socialist program never changes and always fails.
