  1. Also, to sharpen the character of the statement, we restrict signers to individuals age 30 or over who work in scholarship, research, media, or culture.

So eliminating most of the thinking population from signing, or maybe that bits a joke?

  2. Well, ya gotta learn about marketing, see.

What ya wanna do is get a whole bunch of conservatives, preferably dyed in the wool GOP members, like Casey Cagle or David Shafer, going around saying they’re the “New Liberal” – “bolder” and “more harmonious.”. Eventually, the mostly ignorant left will feel the need to start referring to themselves as the “Classic Liberal”. This will confuse people so much that the term will lose all favor and everyone will stop using it. Then you can sweep in and reclaim it.

  3. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (or rather, write it again) that instead of “liberal” we should say “tax-happy, coercion-addicted, power-tripping State-fellator.” A lot wordier, but a lot more accurate than “liberal.”
