  1. So what is an alternative? Impeachment is a non-starter until Democrats decide that it’s in their interest too. (Bipartisan interest in impeachment is what finally drove Nixon out, and that’s not going to happen here.) The congressional “power of the purse” seems limited to government shutdown, which has been tried and has failed, in addition to being too broad to target presidential overreach.

Granted, taking this to the courts takes a long time, and still ends up at another dead end in the Justice Department. It ends up being no more than an embarrassment to a president who is incapable of being embarrassed. But what else is there?

      1. No it wouldn’t. In the first place, he’s a shameless hack. In the second place, he’s got the media’s wind to his back, so low-info voters ( aka Democrats) will believe whatever dip-shit spin Reid puts on it. So you will have to wait for the Senate to fall into Republican hands before impeachment and conviction is even possible.

        1. My point is that Reid will either have to ignore it until after the election (and then try to have a trial before he loses power in January), or he’ll have a messy trial that he won’t be able to control (John Roberts will be in charge) during the election.

          1. They coined the term, They have to live with the term.

Sorry you got laughed at. When Jim Baker and Anderson Cooper joined
in on the mocking, it was just a little too much for the rubes.

          2. OK, Douchenozzle. I’ll continue to call you that, since someone told me that people who believe the things that you do like to be called that.

They coined the term, They have to live with the term.

That’s yet another of your lies. They call themselves member of the Tea Party, not “Tea baggers”. Tea baggers are people who practice a particular type of sex act. The use of the term to describe Tea Party members is a deliberate slur by ignorant, hate-filled bigots like you.

          4. “Just because a few clueless people didn’t know”

such a summary of the conservative movement in
            so few words.

    1. Why not start by impeaching lower level appointees: anyone involved in what seem to be shenanigans, who holds a position confirmed “with the advice and consent” of the Senate?

    2. One option is to follow the Progressive play book. Have surrogates sue the government entities. It’s already happening. Like progressives, organizations have gone about suing the EPA for overstepping the law. NOM just won a major settlement from the IRS. TTV will likely win a large settlement as well.

It’s bad for taxpayers, but at least it won’t only be progressives milking the system. And it is successful. Holder’s DoJ has a track record of failures in defending this Administrations lawlessness. The press may ignore these failures, but judges are increasingly not ignoring them. Further, this lays the groundwork for a more successful legal challenge by the GOP or Impreachment. For instance, Holder is already in contempt. Nothing has been done by the Administration to bring him in line. Go after Holder. Go after Sebilius. I’d love to see someone sue Sebilius for her incompetent handling of the Obamacare rollout.

      1. Impeaching Holder would be an interesting strategy. IMO, Holder is Obama’s chief henchman. His ability to selectively enforce laws by ignoring violations of supporters while targeting opponents is very powerful. Remove Holder and you seriously weaken Obama’s ability to flout the law.

    3. What else is there? Massive civil disobedience next April 15th is the mild version. The messy version – use your imagination.

  2. They coined the term, They have to live with the term.

What a ridiculous statement. Only you could say that.

But that’s okay, call me a teabagger. I use it just like the word queer was adopted by gay people, as a badge of honor.

You might want to use the word douche as a badge of honor because you’re never going to lose that nickname.

    1. Rand will get mad at you, or maybe it’s some weird political correctness thing

where black people can call each other N*&^%r’s but white people are racist
      for saying it?

So perhaps right wingers can call each other TeaBaggers Proudly, but it’s
a slur when someone who isn’t uses it?
