  1. On the upside, gardening fees will be lower and restaurant service will improve substantially. You know, there’s no need to fear immigrants if processed through your school systems correctly. English only, especially for government documentation. Full on patriotic indoctrination and a solid grounding in the concepts of individual freedom and it’s economic implications will quickly move them into the middle class. Plus banning multicultural diversity crap 8 o’clock, day one. Unfortunately, conservatives don’t seem to get that, leaving the left to run the academy (which is upstream of the culture) and then wondering why the farthest left junior senator gets elected to the Presidency.

    1. Boy, that’s not racist at all. But in any case, conservatives haven’t been allowed to run the school system for decades thanks to public unions and the entrenchment of the left in the “academies.” If you think a high school student is ready for proper communication and civic duty, you are totally messed up. The left has destroyed the educational system and an increase in non-speaking immigrants will only exacerbate the situation.

I suspect half the reason the millennials have no jobs is because the left is not teaching them practical skills, like reading or writing English.

    2. I realized my “racist” comment looked accusatory. It was meant to be a Holder moment.

If we did take these immigrants into the country and treat them like those who were treated at the beginning of the 20th century (that is, exactly as you proposed), then I’d agree with you 100 percent. However, our welfare system precludes us from doing such as you say.

  2. Jerry Pournelle suggested making them “children of the regiments”… cut any remaining ties to their birth parents, have them raised in military schools, and automatically enlist them for active duty at age 18. (If they qualify… but if raised that way, I expect 90%+ to qualify.) They can become citizens and vote upon retirement.

It’ll never happen, but it’d be better for everyone than what is actually going to happen.

  3. Is the Federal government quartering these people in private homes or on Federal property? If the later, then there is no violation of the Constitution.

    1. By some accounts, the feds have outsourced their responsibility to religious groups who then find private homes for the illegal immigrants to live in. I am not sure where this fits in with Democrat’s usual complaints over fears of theocracy, separation of church and state, outsourcing government responsibilities, transparency, or any number of things that Democrats usually freak out about.

It really just goes to show how everything Democrats claimed were deeply held principals during the Bush years were just cynical political games that tore the country apart for political power.
