  1. This isn’t unexpected though; I’ll certainly never forget him claiming he never said “if you like your plan, you can keep it, period.”

He’s just proving, again, that he’s a pathological liar.

  2. Remember what Obama said about presidential vacations in 2008?.

You have to understand that if you seek that office, then you have to be prepared to give your life to it. Essentially, the bargain that I think every President strikes with the American people is, ‘you give me this office, then in turn my fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure, is gone. I am giving myself to you.’

He is taking yet another vacation and has played over 160 rounds of golf. Personally, I don’t mind him playing golf. Normally, he does less damage to the country when he’s playing golf than when he’s playing president. However, with so much happening in the world right now (Crimea, Israel v. Hamas, Iraq, etc), perhaps he should actually consider doing his job for a while.

    1. For Obama it was never about doing the job, it was about getting the title. Again, anyone who looked at his resume could tell he had no interest in, let alone competency for, governing. So if he seems incoherent, he is. He doesn’t care, and he really doesn’t have to. He knows he can blame his failures on other people and his sheep will buy it.

  3. Of course he’ a liar. He’s the junior commissar from Chicago. Once he decided on a career in politics he realized he would have to lie constantly to cover up his true nature. Otherwise, he never would have made it beyond the community organizer level. He had the choice of lies or silence. He chose both. I remember an NYT article from the 2008 election that described his time as an adjunct law professor at the University of Chicago. It said he rarely, lf ever talked shop with the other professors. Now we know why. The other professors would have smoked him out pretty quickly.

  4. He is not incoherent. He is executing a technique that he has developed, perfected, and used for probably most of his life. That is, verbalize opposite positions (sometimes in the same breath) so that, in a future confrontation, he can then cite whichever position works to his advantage. Think what Candy Crowley was able to do with this in the second 2012 pres debate. The problem is low-information voters coupled with a media that not only lets him get away with these contradictions, but actually participates in the deception.

    1. “verbalize opposite positions (sometimes in the same breath) so that, in a future confrontation, he can then cite whichever position works to his advantage.”

I just got an image in my head of Obama in the White House with a list of issues and a video camera, recording sound-bite opinions on each issue in order, much the same as a syndicated radio host or TV show cast recording station IDs for all of the channels that carry them.

“This is Barry, and when I’m looking for a doctor, I do it with Heathcare.gov!”
“Keepin’ it real and keepin’ your doctor if you want to!”
      etc…
