  1. Is 2016 the election that “denier” enters the common lexicon of Democrat (and perhaps some Republican) candidates? Up to now, I believe that the term has been uses sparingly at the national level, but desperation has got to be setting in which is reflected in Obama’s increased use of the term.

  2. I like this term better. Instead of allowing ourselves to be labeled “deniers,” adopt the the title “Lukewarmist.” I think Bjorn Lomberg or Delingpole came up with the term. Lomberg is part of the adapt school. Continue to use our fossil fuels to build economies in the poor world while preparing to shift to alt energy (some bright lad or lassie will solve the storage problem one day) and new/old design nukes.

Full-fledged denial is not a survivable position. James Watt ironed out the kinks in the steam engine in the 1760s this pushed the Industrial Revolution into high gear. Its very hard to believe that with the growth in population and economic activity since then that we’ve had no impact on the climate.

No, I’ m not against the Industrial Revolution. Economically, it was the best thing to happen to the Human Race, ever. But we may have to find other ways to make our money. I’ve written this before. Have a plan in place to deal with GW if it resumes, or the Watermelons (Green outside, red inside) will be in power forever.
