  1. “It’s nothing new. ”

This is true not only in the way you meant it (i.e. not a new terror group), but also not new in how Obama tries to cover up for his buffoonery…with fabrication and lies

  2. ” You haven’t heard of the Khorosan Group because there isn’t one. It is a name the administration came up with”

Is that true though? What is the name they call themselves? And if we are making up names for people we go to war with, why not pick a name that sounds more evil and less cool than Khorsan? Didn’t they stop using ISIS because it sounded too cool?

  3. Khorasan? Isn’t that the city-planet capital of the Old Republic and Galactic Empire? Oh, wait, that Coruscant.

Honestly, this is the first time I’ve even heard of Khorasan…

  4. Khorasan is a nickname created by the intelligence community and isn’t an actual independent group. They don’t call themselves that name. The name has significance in a prophecy Muslims have about following the black flags out of Khorasan to conquer the Middle East. I don’t know why our guys think it is a good idea to create a name for a group that gives them the status of prophesied chosen warriors of Allah that are destined to conquer the Arab world. Whomever suggested that the Obama administration go pubic with that name rather than call them AQ needs a kick in the nuts.

There are a lot of articles out there saying these people are just high level AQ that were sent to Syria by Zawahiri and operate within Nursa.

In claiming there was an imminent threat that justified war in Syria, the name of the group doesn’t matter. What matters is their intent and how far along they were in planning. The Obama administration didn’t need to make up a name, they could have simply said that Nursa or AQ was planning something while based in Syria. They just make stuff up and lie out of habit when they don’t even need to.

  5. Obama is an out and out effing liar. Clapper is thrown under the bus.

Someday all those zombies under the bus are going to reach their limit.

“‘Lieutenant General Michael Flynn predicted ISIS ‘probably will attempt to take territory in Iraq and Syria to exhibit its strength in 2014.’ The Islamist terror group had already seized Fallujah and Ramadi, he said, had the ‘ability to concurrently maintain multiple safe havens in Syria.’

By the time Flynn spoke on Capitol Hill, Congress had already heard the story at least once before.

Assistant Secretary of State Brett McGurk told a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee in November 2013 that ISIS had been militarily active all year because of ‘a permissive operating environment due to inherent weaknesses of Iraqi security forces, poor operational tactics, and popular grievances, which remain unaddressed.’

‘It has also benefited from a sanctuary across the porous border in Syria, control of lucrative facilities there, such as oil wells, and regular movement of weapons and fighters between Syria and Iraq,’ McGurk said.
